Description
This park on the shores of Sturgeon Bay in southern Door County, has 1,200 acres of gently rolling terrain bordered by steep slopes and rugged limestone cliffs. The park features year-round activities including camping, hiking, biking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. Family campsites, an accessible cabin for people with disabilities, a picnic shelter and an amphitheater are all reservable.

A large scale road project is taking place at Potawatomi State Park that will affect the availability of park roads and access to facilities in the south end of the park through Fall of 2026. **Run Wild**, a run/walk on park roadways and the Friends groups major annual fundraiser, is held each year on the Saturday of Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day weekend. All **park roads will be closed to motor vehicles from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.** on the day of the event. For more information or to register, please visit https://www.runwild.org/.
