At The Dyrt, we share camping tips from our community of campers and campgrounds. With so many campers staying home, we continue to share this info so you can plan future camping trips across the U.S.

Cute pets always make camping better. That’s why we’ve dedicated a whole page to our dogs on The Dyrt. But this hedgehog might be the cutest camping pet we’ve seen yet. (No offense to your dogs… we love them, too.)

A hedgehog went camping and our hearts exploded

Meet Azuki. He’s a very cute hedgehog from Japan who enjoys apples, belly rubs, and very tiny hats. And he recently gave camping a try.

You can keep up with Azuki’s adventures on Instagram, and if you have your own camping cuteness to share, tag @TheDyrt! We love to hear about your camping adventures through reviews and photos on our site, too.

The Dyrt is the fastest growing camping app on web and mobile, with new features being rolled out regularly. If you love the outdoors, discovering ideal spots to pitch your tent, and being part of a rich and active community, then join us.

    Britany Robinson

Britany is the Managing Editor of The Dyrt. She's been a writer ever since she can remember, and her first literary accomplishment was having a poem about a panda published when she was eight. The anthology was definitely a scam to get her parents to buy a bunch of anthologies, but she's still pretty proud of her panda poem. When she's not at her computer, she's (hopefully) outside, hiking or camping with her dog.
