Stayed overnight in my car, arrived around 9:00 PM. Initially parked in an off road private site with a fire pit, but a man in a pickup followed me in. He said he lives down the main road and was looking for firewood, and then told me about a town up ahead that has a grocery store and gas and lodging.
After he left I felt uncomfortable (solo female traveler), so I pulled out and parked in one of the first turnouts on the side of the forest service road while looking for other options. Another set of campers came and pulled into the private site, so I felt more comfy staying the night knowing they’re close by and just stayed put.
In the morning about 4 or 5 camper vehicles and cars passed me coming from further up the service road, so I’m assuming it’s a popular spot for car camping.
Overall it was quiet and peaceful, just got irked from that man but would stay again.
