Lakebay Getaway

Description

Settle into easy access RV site and get ready to adventure. This site is across the street from Mayo Cove Inlet, which is an easy spot to drop your kayak or paddle board in and explore wildlife or paddle across to Penrose State Park. There is a dock to moor a boat at the State Park if you wish. This is directly across the inlet from the property. Multiple beachfront parks nearby with hiking, marine exploring, and shellfish harvesting options during season. Fishing and boating on Bay Lake just down the road. Many beautiful areas to enjoy by foot or car within minutes. This site includes 2 RV hookups, so there is an option (at additional cost) to have 2 trailers if you wish to share the space with a friend. The site is about a half mile off of the main highway on the Key Peninsula and are just the right size for your RV and truck or car. If you are interested in adding a second trailer, please contact host directly to discuss.

Great spot!

Stayed here for five days and had a wonderful time. The location is great, so close to the water, Penrose and other peninsula activities. The intersection can be a little busy, especially with weekend campers, but it felt like we had access to Penrose except a large lot, private water access and hook ups! The host was wonderful, directions were clear and the site was clean and ready for us.

Lakebay getaway for newbies

First off, let me start by saying this was our maiden voyage with our new trailer. It has been years since I’ve camped in a trailer and it was my wife’s first time so we needed a place that was close and had cell service. Robyn was a gracious host and made sure our needs were met. We stayed in lot #1 which was the largest and we had plenty of room for my truck and my wife’s car plus two dogs. The lot is east to maneuver and getting to the hookups. The road can get a little busy but other than one loud car, we barely knew it was there. Across the road is a park area and a pier. The pier is old but walkable but the deck that the building is on is closed. Penrose State Park is still closed for camping but there are a lot of trails to hike. We use Verizon and no issues

Trails and beaches nearby

Great location if you want to relax and take long walks at nearby state parks and beaches. Robyn is a spectacular host who was great to communicate with. We will be coming back. We have a trailer and two dogs. Power and water hookups were easy to connect to, everything you need to settle in for awhile!
