Easy on/off from US 101 at SR 3 (Shelton). Pull-through RV Site can accommodate most RV lengths**. Electric and potable water hook-ups. Public RV dump site at Potlatch State Park - 14 miles.

17 mins to Hood Canal, 30 mins to Lake Cushman, 50 mins to the Staircase Entrance of Olympic National Park (33 miles). Perfect location for setting up camp with your RV, then taking your car up into the Olympics. Looking for dog-friendly hikes? Several Olympic National Forest and Skokomish Wilderness trails can be accessed from Lake Cushman, including Mt. Ellinor, Mt. Rose, and Mt. Washington.

When returning to camp, enjoy what our property has to offer. Of the 11 acres, 10 acres are comprised of a Cat II wetland, a Cat III wetland, and their associated buffers. A legal trail winds down to Mill Creek just 1/4 mile downstream from the outlet of Lake Isabella. Here the creek is wide and it is permissible to hand launch non-motorized vessels (eg, kayaks, canoes). The stretch of creek between our property and the lake is conservation land, and a beaver dam crosses the creek, but kayakers can usually navigate over the beaver dam and paddle into Lake Isabella. The lake is over 200 acres and boasts Lake Isabella State Park and a Dept of Fish and Wildlife public boat launch.

Our wetland is critical for maintaining local water quality and supporting the local shellfish industry; access is confined to the trail and creek access needs to be respectful and gentle. But if you pause for a moment or two along the trail or shoreline, you'll be rewarded as the local wildlife begin to stir from their hiding places. Song birds, rabbits, deer, voles -- yes. But also river otters, beavers, ducks, cormorants, and owls. Mountain lions and coyotes are possible, but we have not personally seen these. Salmon do run Mill Creek, as well. Dogs are permitted on the trail during summer, fall, and winter if leashed but should stay up near the RV site during spring to avoid disturbing nesting wildlife.

Back at the RV site, there is a picnic table for outdoor cookouts (propane stoves are permissible). Inside the driveway circle is a large propane fire pit with half-moon seating on either side - perfect for roasting S'mores late into the evening. The majority of our outdoor lighting shuts down at midnight to allow for stargazing in a region remote from city lights.

A 1-bed, 1-bath cottage is currently under construction, tucked into a cove of maple, hemlock, and alder. Availability expected in spring 2025.

With just a single RV site, our nearest neighbor several acres away, and only State and County land between us and Hwy 101, you can expect a private stay in a forested setting with easy freeway access on one side of the property and an idyllic private creekside nature preserve on the other. We welcome you to share this place we call home.

In omnibus rebus serviunt Terrae, non homini.

** Larger RV's would back-in to avoid the tear-drop curve at the end of the driveway (please see photos). Driveway entrance is 22' wide, first curve is 18' wide and gradual, leading to RV site if pulling-in/backing-out -- best option for Class A's. Most Class C's and smaller will find it easier to circle the entire driveway and use the site as a pull-through.

    Had a blast

We visited in December but got very lucky with weather. Had a great time. Staff was super nice. Full RV hook ups. Sits on East side of Copalis River, no direct beach access unless you float river to ocean, we did it in wet suits in December and had a blast. Also, you can access beach from “Drive-on” beach access ablut 6 minutes north of camp, it is just after the Iron Springs Resort. Can also access from State park just around the corner, although you have to walk a long way. I recommend the drive on access.

    This place has it all!

An RV resort is not my typical go to place for camping, but a friend and I were heading back from the Oregon coast and wanted a place to park my Jeep so we could sleep in the roof top tent! This place was great for it, and really had all of the amenities.

First of all the place is HUGE, not exaggerating. pretty sure you could get lost in there if you ventured too far. they also don’t really monitor you much once you check in. We paid, then they let us drive around until we found a spot to our liking. They have RV hookups and everything, but they also have primitive camping sites for tents with river access.

The bathrooms were super clean, and they also have a pool, some sort of family recreation center, basketball courts, etc.

Everyone we met was super nice, and the spot we chose had plenty of tree coverage for privacy. If youre looking for a place with plenty to do for the kids and comfy accommodations for you, this Is your spot!

    Nice kept park

I normally try to stay away from RV parks as a tent person but this little private park surprised me. They don’t really have the daily changing business but rather long term RVers. Therefore, it’s pretty quiet despite a little road noise. Clean restrooms/showers (coin operated). The restaurant is not open because of the pandemic at the moment.

    Basic RV park

A large grassy area for both long term and short term RV rental. What was nice is that we were spaced out during this covid epidemic. They also have some cabins and prices are reasonable for full hookups.

    Chehalis was Awesome

Thousand Trails Chehalis We stay two nights from August 31st through September 2, 2019 in campsite H43, the price was$o.oo due to our Thousand Trails membership. Our site has electricity and water hook up. The site was level and has plenty of ripe blackberries for picking.

The campground is at an elevation of 150 ft. Access to the campground was right off Centralia Alpha Rd, our 28 ft travel trailer easily fit with room to spare in our site. Once we entering the campground, the pavement turns to hard-packed gravel as we looped around once to find our campsite. Weather was sunny upper 70's, the nights low 60's.

This is a very quiet campground, activities we found at the campground to keep busy was billiards, two lodges, and two pools, Bingo was being played in one of the lodges. The campground has free showers, plenty of hot water and not more than a minute walk from our campsite.

My wife and I enjoyed the campground, we will be back the next time we want to go to Mt. Rainier or Mt. St. Helens.

    Close to beaches

This campground is about 45 minutes south of Quinault Lake in Olympic NP. So it adds a lot of extra time and miles to explore ONP. It is about 20 minutes to the beaches, which was great. You can drive your car right up onto the beach, which was awesome. The showers and laundry were very clean. Site were full hookups, but very close together. Sites are very close together with no privacy. There are many long-term RV's here. The area fronting the river is very well landscaped and offers fire rings, benches, grills, and a nature path to walk your dog.

    The back up plan

This is the backup plan when you want a last minute spot and Twin Harbors is booked up. Nothing online. This is run by a very nice older lady who will take call in reservations but always seems to be more full when you call than they are when you arrive. Last stay she said I got one of the last sites and it was maybe 30% full. The tent sites are variable in size from a single tent to a party zone open field. There are bathrooms but I never noticed if there were showers since we shower after surfing at westhaven. She has plenty of rv spots and plenty of long term residents. The best thing about Kila hana is you can almost always get a site and it' s inside city limits so you can have a fire when there is a burn ban on twin harbors.

Woodsy camp along the Hood Canal but so close to busy road

Always drove by on our way to other campgrounds but decided to stay over. Day use area is on the Hood Canal and very nice. Campground borders a busy highway and traffic noise is bad. Some nice campsites in a wooded loop along a nice little creek for tenters. Rv hookup sites are close together. Might be better if you were camping with friends next to you.

There aren't flushing toilets, just an it house. Over all it is a beautiful location. The camp office is just North of it further down hwy 101. The "resort" also has cabins and beach access.

Funky Older Place But Kids Had Fun

First off, this is a Thousand Trails campground (like a camping time-share), so we were able to go for free, which is of course great. Good sized pads, wasn't very crowded since they'd just re-opened after having some water issues. Swimming pool, mini golf course, and trails to explore. The campground facilities have seen better days and feel like they're stuck in the 1980s. But the kids didn't mind that half the mini golf course was falling down….in fact they kind of liked it that way, so overall we had a good time despite the lack of updates.

    Worse Thousand Trails We've Found

We heard this was the original campground in the Thousand Trails collection. If that's the case, this place shows its 50 years. Everything seemed really run down.  Signs were hanging off the walls, the drop box near the bathroom was hanging by a thread. The worst part for us, however, was that the power was really variable. Sometimes it would spike to 130 volts and then drop suddenly to 110. Luckily we have a great EMS and it alerted us to the problem. We ended up running on our battery and generator for the last two days we were there because it was so dangerous to plug in. This is one place we will not return.

    A stay

The park geography is beautiful, trees and cool shade. If you are ok with spending a night or so with long term residents, then enjoy the geography. The long term residents were the predominant occupants and seemed quite, keeping to themselves predominantly. The restroom and showers in the back of the park could use some upgrades. The door to the building was worn and broken in the bottom which was big enough to potentially let a raccoon or similar in. The facility was clean but had the feel of a state run park rather than private. We would stay again if circumstances dictated, as they did this time, but wouldn’t go out of our way to do so.

    We would stay again.

This is a lovely park with beautiful trails that wind through very large, old growth cedar forests. The Rangers and the campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at a full hook up campsite that included electricity sewer and freshwater.

Somethings we would change forever. The eight full hook up sites sat right on a very busy highway with loud logging trucks going by. It did quiet down at night however. The reservation system is very strict and though you can change your reservation online for eight dollars a change, there are hefty penalties for canceling.

The camping sites across the street had no amenities at all, but they were across the street and deeper into the forest and very beautiful. I’m not sure if any of the sites in there would be big enough to fit our 31 foot RV.

Very nice tent portion of the campground, short walk to the beach, beach is very long and uncrowded, although they allow driving on it.

RV spots with hookups are lined up next to each other, very little space between.

Nice to have full hookups but we opted for a tent spot with our camper.

    Not busy during fall

Our friends have stayed here a few times for razor clam digging and seemed fine with it, so we tried it. We stayed 2 nights during a mid-November clam dig. There is a string of long-term campers and a string of short-term spots. It was really empty, so there were no close neighbors. I could see how it would be overly snug during a busy session with how close the sites are together. You literally have enough room for a slide out and 5 feet or so to the next site's picnic table. The covered fish cleaning station was very nice to clean clams. It's an older looking campground but we were happy with it.

    Ocean City State Park

The park is located just a few miles north of Ocean Shores which has many festivals throughout the year. My favorite is the kite festival in June. Although not directly on the beach the campground has direct access to the beach by way of a trail. Campsites are clean however privacy is lacking. All have fire rings. There are pull through sites however they are quickly reserved for the camping season so plan ahead and reserve 6 months in advance of your stay. Full hook ups are available. Bathrooms are not well maintained and include a coin operated shower. Firewood can be purchased from vendors. I give it three stars. It is a great place to stay (if you can get a site) when visiting the Washington coast.

    Good Resting Spot

We stayed for 1 night in the RV area so we could have full hook ups. It’s was nice that each spot has water, power AND it’s own sewer hook up.

The reason for only 3 stars was there was absolutely no privacy between sites, and we had neighbors on both sides as well as behind our site was a campsite. We were surrounded by other people when we were hoping for at least some trees between sites.

There is a large park across highway 101. There is a crosswalk and a light to press so cars know you’re crossing the road but it was still a little scary as there is a blind corner that approaches the crosswalk.

The camp host was VERY friendly and gave our daughter a ranger badge which was very thoughtful.

We’d come back, but not for more than a night.

Extremely nice rv park. Level gravel parking sites. Good Wifi. Very clean restrooms. Manager was great. One minus though was someone had driven all over the drainfield and destroyed it causing the dump station to be closed.
