Skokomish Park at Lake Cushman

Lake Cushman provides direct water access for kayaking, swimming, and fishing, with Skokomish Park serving as the primary campground on this Olympic Peninsula reservoir. The Skokomish Tribe manages this established facility, which operates from April through November and accommodates RVs up to 40 feet with full hookups.

The campground features both drive-in RV sites and walk-in tent areas, with some sites offering direct lake access while others require a short walk to the water. A hiking trail circles the entire lake, and amenities include volleyball courts and a rope swing. Brook Jorgensen notes the campground offers "family friendly camping and clean hot showers." The on-site general store provides basic supplies, and firewood delivery to campsites is available.

RV sites tend to be closely spaced, though some offer more separation. Coin-operated showers and flush toilets serve campers, along with a designated swimming area maintained by tribal staff. Reviews indicate the campground stays busy during peak season, particularly the RV section, while walk-in tent sites see lighter use. The facility provides a base for exploring Olympic Peninsula attractions and accessing the lake's paddling opportunities.

Rates run approximately $50 per night, with reservations accepted for guaranteed spots during the popular summer months.

Lake Cushman

Near Hoodsport.

Fee campground. Bathrooms with flush toilets. Coin operated showers.

Small general store.

Some RV sites are close together. But there are others with more distance.

Can hold up to a 40 foot RV. Some campsites have lake access.

Pretty great family campground

Who doesn't love Lake Cushman?

For camping, there aren't many other options, but this place is alright. RV sites were very popular, but we had the walk-in tent sites to ourselves. The camp store is very convenient too!

Lifetime Memories

I've been camping on Lake Cushman since I was a kid. It's one of the true gems of the Olympic Peninsula. It has gotten a lot more popular in recent years, but it's still big enough to handle a lot of people.

Lots of hiking and paddling opportunities.

Beautiful but expensive

We pulled in late and there were plenty of sites available on the holiday weekend. The sites were big and had trails to the main trail around the lake. It's a pricy place at $50/night!

Skokomish

This review is for Skokomish Park. Name changed from Cushman? Regardless, this was a wonderful place for a base camp for 5 nights. Easy access to all of Olympic. Gorgeous views! Pristine lake. Rope swing, volleyball courts, hiking trail circles the lake. Waking up to fantastic lake/mountain views every day was beyond words. Family friendly camping and clean hot showers. Would not hesitate to camp there again!
