Great campground on the Beach!

Full hookups with level concrete pads. Enough space between for a picnic table. Best part is the Galveston beach right down the wooden, ramped, walkway. This small section of the beach is no vehicles and has a lifeguard. The campground is a bit from town, so you do need to drive to get to places. Other thing to consider. We had a constant 15mph wind, so awnings were flapping, and your car and camper get covered in a salty residue. We would go back.

Love the beach!!!

We love coming to Galveston state park. It’s peaceful and not crowded.

Amazing beaches

Beautiful area, for 10.00 you can tent camp on the beach and your pass is good for the season. The RV park is great, but camping on the beach was an awesome exercise. You can also drive on this beach.

Very nice location

Was worth the extra time to get there. Beautiful views and especially the sunrises.

A First Class RV Park

We stayed here for five days while visiting MD Anderson. Everything about this park is top rate. We stayed in a site that overlooked the lake on the property. It was very nice. They were just starting to open up after COVID 19 so there were some restrictions. We were only allowed to sit by the pool for an hour but it was worth it. The pool area looks like a pool you would see at a hotel. The gym was still closed as was the clubhouse.
Bathrooms were open. They were large and clean. A shuttle ran between the park and MD Anderson which made it very convenient for us.
We will be returning to Houston in August and hope to stay here again.

Not too bad

Stayed here recently and it was “ok” didn’t like the fact that you have to park away from your camp site and walk everything in, especially when there are “roads” that lead to the camp sites. Also didn’t appreciate the camp staff riding their gator around camp well after 12am with their head lights shining in our camp.

Fun in the sun and sand

Just 30 minutes south from Houston, this little over 2,000 acres) park offers its visitors sun, sand and lots of fun. Great for a day trip or a nights stay. Campsite are right on the water or on the bay side. RV parking available as well as water/showers. Sites also include tables, grills, and they even have cabins to rent if you were looking for that option
