    Beachside RV Park

    Affordable, Convenient, Amenity Rich

This is the nicest RV Park on the Bolivar Peninsula / Crystal Beach area. Truly. So well maintained, and quiet peaceful setting.

We were surprised that it had a nice dog park, indoor laundry, shower, wifi, gazebo for hanging out in and more, all included in the rate!

    Close to the beach.

Walk to the gas station and restaurants.

They are running a winter special.

    Beachside RV Park

Wow! Walk To Beach, Dog Park, Lounge Area, Laundry

This park has everything you need!

Also seems like they have some kind of great winter special going on because a lot of people started showing up as I was leaving.

Very well kept park, probably the nicest on the peninsula other than Margaritaville but you wouldn't want to know what their monthly rate is lol.

Beachside winter rate I think is like $400/mo all utils included. I understand why it's so popular.

    Beachside RV Park

    BEST WINTER RATES! SUPER CONVENIENT

Beachside RV Park is a quiet spot just a short walk to the beach. The sites aren’t fancy, but they’re well kept and include all the utilities in the rent.

Wi-Fi and free laundry are also included, which is a nice perk. There’s a fenced dog park on site, plus gazebos for hanging out, and even a shower area for rinsing off after the beach. The location is hard to beat— it’s close to The Big Store for groceries and right across from The Ship’s Wheel restaurant.

It’s not a resort, but it’s a great value if you want to be close to the water without paying resort prices. A good fit for Winter Texans or anyone looking for an easy, laid-back stay on Crystal Beach.

    Jamaica Beach RV Resort

    Nice resort campground

We enjoy the lazy river, putt, putt, and kayaking on the bay. It is an easy walk to the beach. Galveston State Park is on the other side of to make a beach if you want to stay on the water. However, we really enjoy the resort setting and the people that camp here as well as the people who run the camp ground.

    Houston West RV Park

    Very convenient

This park is only about a block off of Route 10 near Houston. Great place to stay if you are just passing through. The pool and hot tub are nice, and the lake is pretty. They've got a pretty severe red ant infestation everywhere, so you can't spend too long standing outside on the gravel or the grass.

What to do

Wildlife observation at Brazos Bend State Park Campground: Located about 20 miles southwest of Pearland, this park offers extensive wildlife viewing opportunities. "Brazos Bend is know as the Alligator Park…and for good reason! Of you go on a moderate temperature day (this is the key. If it is too hot or cold you won't see Gators) you can see literally dozens of massive alligators," notes reviewer Ashley C.

Astronomy at park observatory: Brazos Bend State Park Campground features a unique attraction not found at other campsites near Pearland. "The best part of this park is the observatory, which has special events and regular weekend hours pretty much all year. It's absolutely worth staying up late for this!" writes Kim B., who recommends the astronomy programs for all ages.

Fishing at nearby waterways: Camp Mohawk County Park provides fishing opportunities at stocked ponds. The park "has pavilions, playgrounds, a pool, baseball and basketball courts. You can boat around the pond," according to Jeannette V., making it a versatile destination for outdoor recreation close to Pearland.

What campers like

Gated security at urban locations: Many campers appreciate the controlled access at RV parks near Pearland. At Lakeview RV Resort, Holly D. notes, "Everything about this park is top rate. We stayed in a site that overlooked the lake on the property." The security features provide peace of mind for campers staying near urban areas.

Proximity to medical facilities: Several camping options cater specifically to those needing medical access. "We stayed here for five days while visiting MD Anderson. A shuttle ran between the park and MD Anderson which made it very convenient for us," reports a visitor at Lakeview RV Resort, highlighting the practical benefits of this location.

Clean facilities and amenities: Medical Center RV Resort receives consistent praise for maintenance standards. "Very nice park exceptionally clean at all times. Staff is very pleasant and go above and beyond to help whatever they can," writes Dorothy J., echoing sentiments expressed by many visitors to RV parks in the area.

What you should know

Summer heat impacts camping comfort: High temperatures and humidity define summer camping conditions near Pearland. At Brazos Bend State Park, Joseph P. advises, "If you go in the summer you need to watch out for mosquitoes," highlighting a common seasonal challenge in the region.

Traffic considerations for urban campgrounds: Houston Med Center KOA Holiday and similar urban locations require planning around traffic patterns. "From what I could see, this is a nice park practically in the middle of a freeway. No kidding, it's barely off of the off ramp," notes HandL C., emphasizing the urban setting.

Site dimensions and parking constraints: Many RV parks feature concrete pads but limited additional parking. At South Main RV Park, one reviewer notes, "Most sites are large enough for big rigs, you do have to park on the gravel right in front of your rig which can be tight."

Tips for camping with families

Look for parks with recreational facilities: Camp Mohawk County Park offers family-friendly amenities and activities. "I love this park it's a great place to take your family my granddaughter loves to walk the trails, very clean," shares Angela R. about this county park option near Pearland.

Consider parks with educational opportunities: Wildlife viewing combined with learning makes for engaging family experiences. At Brazos Bend State Park, Candy P. recommends, "This is the best place to escape from the big city and enjoy nature! The hiking and bike paths are aplenty. We loved seeing the gators, especially when the babies were hatching."

Check which parks have swimming options: Several campgrounds offer swimming pools to combat summer heat. Tawnya notes that Houston Med Center KOA features "heated saltwater pool and hot tub, workout facilities, clubhouse with games and puzzles," providing indoor and outdoor recreation for families.

Tips from RVers

Internet connectivity varies significantly: Eric & Jay's RV Resort has a unique approach to internet access. According to one review, "They have a 'no wifi' slogan, and the campground wifi is rendered obsolete within the confines of your designated space, instead favoring a hard-wired ethernet connection to your router."

Level sites cannot be assumed: Even at newer RV parks, site conditions vary. Kristin S. reports, "This is a brand new park, yet some of the concrete slabs are unlevel. Perhaps the most unlevel that we've experienced in our travels."

Check site dimensions before booking: Width constraints can be an issue at some parks. For campers with larger rigs, spacing between sites becomes important. Reviewers recommend selecting extended back-in or pull-through sites when available, particularly at parks closer to Houston where space efficiency often reduces site widths.
