The Stonewall Motor Lodge is a property that was built in 1964 to accommodate the press core that accompanied Lyndon B. Johnson while visiting the Texas White House. Was absolutely stunning, it’s on a cliff top so your “backyard” is a small trail to a gorgeous overlook of the lake and adjacent cliffs. I didn’t expect to be given this view. The campsite itself is also fairly shaded and there are some cacti but it’s the best spot I’ve stayed at while being there!

Honestly, the price wasn't too bad. Gated community with concierge service to your site. Most sites had some degree of shade and a decent amount of privacy. The pool and shower facilities are very nice and clean. The 2 dog parks (split into 2 sections each for small and large...so 4 dog parks) really helped keep our dogs entertained. Great rotation of food trucks and activities for kids. 100% recommended for a RV Resort stay.

This is an older park, but the river access makes up for the outdated but clean facilities. Our side of the park was along the river and had great shade. The other side had no trees and seemed to be more full-time folks. Facilities are a little dated but clean. There are tons of full-time folks, and I can see why. The river is right there. Great river access and space to sit and watch the tubers go by. Very few bells and whistles. Some folks said it was much more community oriented before the new managers took over. They used to do movies and food trucks, and things just looked better. But it was nice. It was expensive for what it was, but again... the river access made it great.

This was our very 1st RV park. It set the tone for all our spots moving forward. Clean bathrooms, clean pool/hot tub, clean laundry, well stocked store, gated community, great walking trail around a big lake and near big long horn cows. Met some big white neighbor dogs on the trail, but they kept their distance. Seems like the middle of nowhere, but it's really close to Austin, lockhart, Circuit of the America's. We stayed a week. Will stay again.
