    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Rockport RV Resort by Rjourney, Ancient Oaks RV Park, and Bayview RV Resort provide cabin accommodations as an alternative to traditional camping and RV setups. These cabin options typically include electricity, running water, and air conditioning systems to counter the Texas Gulf Coast heat. Indoor furnishings generally consist of beds, basic seating, and sometimes small dining areas, though amenities vary significantly between locations. A visitor commented that the "office staff is very nice and accommodating" at Ancient Oaks RV Park, which offers cabin rentals with access to their full-service facilities. Most cabins include private bathrooms, while others require guests to use the campground's communal shower and restroom facilities.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Palm Harbor RV Park provides cabin accommodations with fishing access, as one camper noted, "you can fish off the ship channel wall" making it appealing for outdoor enthusiasts. Lagoons RV Resort operates year-round with a 55+ age restriction during winter months, catering primarily to seasonal visitors. Most properties allow pets in their cabin accommodations with certain restrictions. Reservations are essential, particularly during peak winter months when "Winter Texans" occupy many units for extended stays of 3-6 months.

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Kitchen facilities vary widely between properties - some offer full kitchens while others provide only minimal cooking equipment. Basic supplies can be purchased at on-site markets at select locations like Rockport RV Resort, though selection is limited. Cabin layouts range from small one-room structures to larger multi-room configurations suitable for families. The "Beloved Garden Tiny Home & RV Community" offers more compact cabin options with modern amenities including electric hookups, sewer connections, and water access.

      Bay View RV Resort

Perfect Family Getaway! Great Staff & Location

Our family had an amazing stay at Bay View RV Resort! The friendly staff made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We rented a clean, comfortable park model and a cottage, giving us the perfect mix of togetherness and personal space. The kids loved the large pool and the quick car ferry ride over to Port Aransas Beach. Located just a short drive from Rockport Beach, this park is a clean, affordable, and convenient coastal base. We’ll definitely be back!

      Colonia Del Rey RV Park

      Convenient location!

Colonia Del Ray is a nice little park, nothing to fancy. We usually stay here when visiting family that lives in Flower Bluff. It is a very convenient location, about five minutes from an HEB and within thirty minutes of most of the Corpus Christi attractions. They have a lot of rental spots for such a small park, so there is not much room between you and your neighbors. If you going for a fun trip at the beach you wouldn’t be spending much time at your RV anyway.

The rate is forty bucks a night for an RV with free wi-fi and cable. The facilities are clean, but don’t expect much scenery. There are not many trees, but at least you can see the ocean. There are coin laundry machines, pool, playground, and a mini gated dog area. I believe they have rental cabins on one side of the park. It seems like locals use this park to post up their boats and RVs as well. You can make reservations online, and the owners of the place are very kind.

Flower Bluff is a great town with wonderful people. Make sure you check out some of the locally eateries. About two blocks from the park is a seafood restaurant located on the water with a huge deck. They have excellent food and it is in walking distance which is a plus! Also if you have kids take them to the U.S.S Lexington! It is so awesome and hands-on with airplanes on the top deck!

      Rockport RV Resort

      Perfect Little Spot

Came across this place while camping at Goose Island State Park in Rockport. Julie is the owner and she is super nice and accommodating. Amenities are endless: laundry, shower, pool, electric hookup, full kitchen, fridge, hot tub, TV and lounge area and lots of shade. Lots of RV spots and a few places to set up tents. Usual rate is 25$ for RVs but Julie was so nice and allowed me to set up a tent and use the park for 15$ for the night. Highly recommend coming here and camping. Located right near town and 5 minutes from the water.

      Lagoons RV Resort

      Nice but outdated

We stayed the month of January. It is 55 and older park during the winter months. All concrete roads and sites. The sites are level and very close to each other. We could not put our awning out all the way. Very friendly staff. The only WiFi is at the clubhouse and is slow! You can wash your vehicle and camper at the site for $5-$10. Laundry room has several washers and dryers. Propane is available at the office. Our site was across from the Park Models where two different owners “yelled” at us when our dachshund walked on their small grass area!!!!!!! We will be somewhere different next winter. We love Rockport, Texas. Lots to do.

      Sandollar Resort & RV Park

      Very quiet area

This is mostly a snowbird camp with a few left over for the rest.  Nice pool area, walking distance to the water(no beach).  Easy highway access to Rockport (nice city park beach) and the ferry access to Port Aransas.  Nice pads but the stickers in the back corner of the park were a problem for all of us, dog included.

      Firefly Coastal Bend- Corpus Christi

The people at Firefly are CROOKS!

Good day- My name is John and my wife and I live in Dana, North Carolina... Just south of Asheville. Back in May, I had booked two(2) RV spots(one for us and one for dear friends coming in from California). I booked for a week, running from 5- 12 October, at a total(pre-paid) cost of$1,433. However, on Friday, 27 September(8 days before our trip), our region experienced Hurricane Helene. One hundred and twenty feet of our driveway was wiped out- totally washed away. The main road to our home was also washed away. Roads in and out of the area were destroyed and there were thousands of downed trees and power poles. The destruction was and remains hard to convey. We lost power and all communications for 13 days. We had no way in or out of our property for over a week. On Monday, 30 September, I was able to hike out to our local post office where I found I had one bar on my phone. I called family and friends, including the other couple that we were supposed to meet At the Firefly RV Resort. I explained the situation to them and asked them to call Firefly, cancel the reservation and,(given the circumstances) ask for a refund. The staff at Firefly were beyond rude and refused any consideration of a refund. When pressed on the matter by our friends, and stressing the dire conditions that all of North Carolina was facing, the Manager at Firefly told our friends the following-- and this is a direct quote:"Well, if the government would stop sending money to Ukraine, maybe they would have money to give to North Carolina." Enough said. I would strongly ask all conscientious RV-ers to BOYCOTT the Firefly RV Resort.

    Guide to Rockport

Cabin camping near Rockport, Texas offers accommodations across the coastal bend, with most properties situated within a 15-mile radius of downtown. Winter temperatures typically range from 45-70°F while summer months regularly exceed 90°F with high humidity. The area's terrain remains mostly flat with elevations under 20 feet above sea level, making for accessible but sometimes muddy conditions after coastal rain events.

    What to do

Fishing access: Palm Harbor RV Park provides direct access to prime fishing spots where campers can "fish off the ship channel wall" without needing to travel. The location offers easy fishing opportunities for all skill levels, with no boat required.

Beach accessibility: Pioneer Beach Resort features a dedicated boardwalk through the dunes for convenient beach access. As one visitor noted, you can "drive your vehicle or golfcart out onto the sand," making it simple to transport gear and supplies for a full day at the beach.

Wildlife viewing: Birding enthusiasts should consider Bay View RV Resort where one long-term resident shares they "absolutely love the wildlife and birding. This place is very rustic and natural as possible." The resort hosts a Hummingbird Celebration during the second week of September when the migration peaks.

    What campers like

Central location: Rockport RV Resort sits just "5 minutes from the water" while being "located right near town," making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Its proximity to both natural and urban amenities appeals to visitors wanting varied activities.

Clean facilities: Copano Bay RV Resort maintains consistently well-kept grounds with "all cement sites" and "full hook ups" available in both 30 and 50 amp options. Winter Texans particularly appreciate the maintenance standards, with one noting "This is our 3rd year at this campground."

Seasonal activities: The annual hummingbird migration creates special viewing opportunities at Bay View RV Resort where one staff member hosts "the Hummingbird Celebration site now known as Hummer Hill across from 219" during the second week of September.

    What you should know

Age restrictions: Some properties implement seasonal age policies. Lagoons RV Resort operates with a "55 and older park during the winter months" restriction from November onward, catering specifically to the Winter Texan demographic.

Mail limitations: Circle W RV Ranch (now Rockport RV Resort by Rjourney) has instituted restrictions on mail receipt where "No UPS, No Fedex, No USPS, no Amazon, nothing" will be accepted for temporary guests.

Site spacing: Layout varies significantly between parks. Pioneer Beach Resort offers buddy sites that are pull-through and have "campers facing each other with a common space outside our front doors," while at Lagoons RV Resort, sites are "very close to each other" where one camper noted "we could not put our awning out all the way."

    Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly options: Ancient Oaks RV Park offers cabin accommodations just "over 1 mile to the beach" with "Live Oak trees" providing natural shade, making it comfortable for children during hot days.

Pool access: Pioneer Beach Resort maintains "two pools" along with a recreation center and scheduled activities suitable for various age groups. The "wonderful clubhouse with numerous activities" provides entertainment options during inclement weather or intense heat.

Spacious common areas: Select a buddy site at Pioneer Beach Resort where campers can create "plenty of room for everyone to relax in the shade" by positioning RVs to maximize shared outdoor living space.

    Tips from RVers

Washing options: Lagoons RV Resort permits vehicle and RV washing at your site for a fee of "$5-$10," a service not commonly available at many parks.

WiFi considerations: Internet access varies widely between properties. Lagoons RV Resort offers WiFi that's only "at the clubhouse and is slow," while the "great internet" at Ruhija Community Rest Camp receives positive mentions from guests.

Site navigation: Be cautious when maneuvering large RVs in parks with tight spaces. One camper at Pioneer Beach Resort noted challenging arrival experiences where they were "escorted to our site by a very stern man" who provided directions that resulted in complications.
