    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Lakeview RV Resort's fenced dog yard provides a dedicated space for pets to exercise at this Houston campground near Missouri City. The gated resort includes full hookups for RV camping with sewer, electric, and water connections, along with designated pet areas. Medical Center RV Resort maintains clean grounds with pet-friendly policies, while Houston Med Center KOA Holiday features two small dog parks on property, backing up to Tom Bass Park which offers additional dog parks for extended walks and play. Most sites offer concrete pads with room for pet setups. AllStar RV Resort and Southlake RV Resort accommodate pets with specific policies in place. Tent camping options are limited but available at some locations, with Eric & Jay's RV Resort allowing both tent and RV camping for pet owners. The grounds are generally well-maintained with staff regularly cleaning pet areas.

Adjacent to the Houston Med Center KOA, Tom Bass Park provides extensive walking paths spanning 2 and 6+ miles where campers can exercise dogs on leash. Many resorts have instituted pet waste stations throughout the grounds. Hot weather considerations are important when camping with pets in this area, as summer temperatures can be extreme. Some resorts restrict certain dog breeds or have limits on the number of pets allowed per site. The Medical Center RV Resort offers a shuttle service to the nearby medical district, convenient for travelers with service animals requiring veterinary care. While sites at most parks are relatively close together, pet owners note the campgrounds remain surprisingly quiet despite proximity to Houston highways. The parks enforce quiet hours which helps manage barking and noise issues.

      Traders Village RV Park

Houston, Tx…..Nothing to get excited about

It’s a large campground and spaces are very small. There’s a grass strip between camp sites. No picnic tables or grills. The office gave us a map and showed us how to get to our site but virtually impossible to understand. A very nice gentleman that stayed here took us to our site. He said they have no idea how to do directions and a buddy of his really messed up his camper by trolling around looking for their site. It’s very crowded and no room for awnings or for both campers side by side to put out awnings. There is a pool but it doesn’t look well maintained and there’s absolutely no chairs. Just the pool and it’s small. Laundry room is large. There’s no dog park or anywhere to walk your dog. Signs everywhere that say no pets, yet they are allowed. The flea market is only on the wknd. It’s close to a lot of restaurants and in a nice area.

Houston / Med Center KOA Holiday

      A lot of Amenities

The park is clean, but the sites are tight. The further you get to the front the louder the traffic noise is, but the sites are larger and spaced out more. It is a five and take. It has three locations with washer and dryers, two dog parks, a recreation room and easy access to Tom Bass park.

      Galveston Island KOA Holiday

      Amazing week by the beach!!

What a great park!! We had been there a couple years ago, before it was a KOA and glad it still had the same feel!! We LOVED it!! The weather was perfect, the beach is accross the highway (easy to walk to) and there are multiple beaches along the island that you can drive to and some, even drive on!! The park had a pool, lazy river, dog park, cabins, nice laundryroom and adult beverages served at the office as well as available in their store. The staff was awesome and they keep you informed by text about goings on in the park. We booked again for next year!

    Guide to Missouri City

Pet friendly camping near Missouri City, Texas typically features concrete RV pads and dedicated pet facilities to combat the area's hot climate conditions. The region experiences humid subtropical weather with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 90°F, making early morning or evening dog walks necessary during peak months. Most campgrounds enforce quiet hours starting at 10 PM to maintain a peaceful atmosphere despite proximity to Houston.

    What to do

Wildlife viewing at Brazos Bend State Park: Located 30 minutes from Missouri City, this park offers extensive wildlife observation opportunities. "Brazos Bend is know as the Alligator Park…and for good reason! Of you go on a moderate temperature day (this is the key. If it is too hot or cold you won't see Gators) you can see literally dozens of massive alligators," notes Ashley C. about Brazos Bend State Park Campground.

Stargazing at the George Observatory: The observatory at Brazos Bend offers regular weekend stargazing programs. "The best part of this park is the observatory, which has special events and regular weekend hours pretty much all year. It's absolutely worth staying up late for this!" reports Kim B.

Walking paths at Tom Bass Park: Access extensive walking trails directly from the campground. "The city park has a 2 mile and 6+ mile walking path. It seems to be the only real place to get out and exercise in the area," explains Erika P. about her stay at Houston Med Center KOA Holiday.

    What campers like

Clean, maintained facilities: Most Missouri City area campgrounds maintain high cleanliness standards. "The bathrooms were large and clean. A shuttle ran between the park and MD Anderson which made it very convenient for us," writes Holly D. about her experience at Lakeview RV Resort.

Security features: Gated entrances and security personnel enhance safety at many locations. "The area is relatively safe. There is a police officer or two, and a police dog, that live at the RV Park," reports Erika P. about her extended stay near Missouri City.

Proximity to medical facilities: For travelers with pets needing veterinary care, several campgrounds offer medical center access. "I recently stayed at Highway 6 RV Resort and I have nothing to say about my experience other than good. The location was also a big plus, thanks to easy access to everything Houston has to offer," notes Stef H. about Highway 6 RV Resort.

    What you should know

Sites are typically close together: Most parks feature compact layouts. "The sites are pretty spread out and maybe half of them are very shady," notes Kim B. about camping options at Brazos Bend.

Advance reservations recommended: Popular parks fill quickly, especially during moderate weather months. "Wide roads to maneuver and large spaces made it easy to get in and get setup, no cars clogging the lanes," reports Nathan about Medical Center RV Resort.

Traffic noise varies by location: Proximity to highways affects ambient noise levels. "It is directly off of the highway so don't except quite," advises Whitney V. about staying at Lakeview RV Resort.

Mosquito preparedness essential: The humid climate supports active mosquito populations. "If you go in the summer you need to watch out for mosquitoes," warns Joseph P. about his Brazos Bend experience.

    Tips for camping with families

Dog wash stations available: Several campgrounds offer pet washing facilities. "They have a free dog wash! both out doggos got washed and it was easy to use with hot and cold water and a larger blow dryer!" shares Marie B. about her stay at Highway 6 RV Resort.

Pet walking best times: Schedule early morning or late evening walks during summer months. "This is an excellent campground. There's firewood for sale, lots of wildlife sightings," recommends Red S. about Brazos Bend State Park Campground.

Avoid peak summer heat: Plan indoor activities during midday heat. "Only downfall is the mosquitos, which isn't the campgrounds fault. Just with the heat and swamps/lakes they are particularly bad," advises Jules S.

Kid-friendly amenities: Look for campgrounds with appropriate facilities. "The outdoor fire place with swings and nice seating area are an beautiful extra," notes Carola M. about Eric & Jay's RV Resort.

    Tips from RVers

Extended stay rates: Many parks offer weekly and monthly rate discounts. "It is a clean and orderly place. I made good use of the showers and bathrooms that were always clean. I also used the recreation room that had a pool table, shuffle board table and large television," shares Ben W. about his seven-month stay at Highway 6 RV Resort.

Internet connectivity options: Campgrounds have varying WiFi setups. "If you have a Cat5/hard wire port on the outside of your trailer, you will be very happy!" notes Kristin S. about Eric & Jay's unique ethernet-based internet system.

Site levelness varies: Pack leveling blocks as concrete pads may not be perfectly level. "This is a brand new park, yet some of the concrete slabs are unlevel. Perhaps the most unlevel that we've experienced in our travels," warns Kristin S.

Easy access to supplies: Most pet-friendly camping near Missouri City offers proximity to essential stores. "There are plenty of stores to shop at and they are all very close. Walmart, HEB, Kroger, Sam's Club are all within a few miles," reports Erika P. about the convenient location.
