Camping near Natchez Trace Parkway

Overnighted at campground. Decent sized sites with FHU. Clean restrooms and showers. Gravel sites. Campground right near off ramp allowing easy access. Traffic noise from interstate was not bad. Great place to stay while traveling through.

I did not expect to find something like this in Tennessee! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a cute little campground with clean bathrooms nearby. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site. I got in late last night and the road to get there was majestic under the stars. There are lots of trails and scenic stops along the way. Will definitely camp here again if I come back to Tennessee!

There are many concrete parking spots for RV’s and spots for camping. The parking spot also has a Littering box and a table.

We love this campground! The river is just absolutely beautiful. The best swimming spot and relaxing spot on the rock and sand beach. The owners and staff are so incredibly kind and helpful. We love it here!

This place is a gem! You can stay for 14 days each year because, let's face it, it's too nice for them to let people hog it. Free water in various places, garbage cans by your site, numbered sites, paved driveways and parking spaces, manicured and litter-controlled park, and a bathroom building with multiple flush toilets for each sex and sinks with running water! These are in at least two places. Picnic tables and fire rings with lift-off on a hinge grates.

I spent 8 nights here. Almost everyday some huge rig would pull up in front of what little view I had and block me out completely. I was lucky if I had a few daylight hours of a view of the sky and trees.Most people left early in the morning. Even for the thanksgiving week that was a lot of activity. And I would think that since I booked 8 nights up front they would put be some place quiet and secluded. I got just the opposite. Fuel stations and restaurants nearby.  My experience with KOAs is turning into just a stream of places you should only sleep at and get F out.

Came in on a Tuesday in late October and found about 10 campsites occupied, so lots to choose from. The campsite has two adjoining loop roads. The lower loop has a bathroom with flush toilets and sinks.

The campground appears to be very well maintained. There is not much privacy between campsites as there are only a few trees and no shubbery between campsites.

We met two other camping groups that were simply delightful Americans.

I was really looking forward to this place on my way to Arkansas. However, as soon as I turned into the camping area I was “greeted” by not one but TWO off leash dogs barking and running toward my van (they were not together). Fortunately, I took vinegar spray with me when I took my dog for a walk. It was a useful deterrent when one of the loose dogs ran at us. I yelled to put the dog on leash but of course nobody emerged from the van. On the return trip I made sure to have my spray and body pointed straight toward the dog who was just waiting for me to turn around so he could attack again. If you want a flat spot, a pull through spot, or one that you can’t smell the toilets, get there early! I got there around noon and maybe 15 people were there. By sundown most spots were taken…on a Tuesday. Restrooms toward the entrance were nice with running water and flush toilets.

It’s a large campground with a lot of full time campers on site. Nice lake at 102 sq acres in size. Did have an issue that most sites are only 50 or 30amp hookups only, so I had to borrow a 30 to 120 adapter. The hiking trails were closed which sucked since I was looking forward to a hike with the dog. They are building a new pool. Good luck getting a lakeside site since I was told only 8 are available and are full most of the time.

Everything is clean and new and the bathrooms are amazing. Beautiful pool and splash area for kids. Pool table inside the store and a cute macaw named paco is a fun surprise.

Nice first come free camping location just off the Trace. Grounds seem to be keep up on every time I’ve been there.

First impressions pulling in I was thinking it was going to be awesome but while setting up we noticed thrash all over. The wife picked up a full bag of garbage while I was setting up. It was around 7pm we noticed that this camping area is a special spot for tweakers and some sketchy people. They did keep to themselves which worked out. I’d say this location isn’t that bad if you’re a believer in the 2nd and watching out constantly. The camper next to us decided to run the loudest generator from 8pm on. Going to the restroom early am noticed a guy up and watching from a distance. Also someone in the stall having a weird intense conversation with himself and was in there for over a hour. Park does have the possibility of being a great campground with some improvements and someone keeping out the tweakers.
