Owego Roadside Campsites — Delaware State Forest

Within Delaware State Forest, Owego Roadside Campsites provides free camping with full hookups along a forested stretch near the river. The two sites sit directly across from each other, creating close quarters when both are occupied. Access involves navigating a tight, curved driveway with ruts that can challenge larger RVs—one reviewer clipped a tree backing in a 34-foot trailer.

Road noise carries through the area consistently. Verizon cell service works well here, and a walking trail starts nearby for quick hikes. The sites include electric, water, and sewer hookups along with picnic tables and fire rings. Not for trailers

Nice spot but don’t bring your 34 foot camper trailer. Could only back in and it was a tight curved driveway with ruts. I clipped a tree with the trailer. Also it didn’t show that there was another camp site that close. It’s was within eye sight.

Peaceful but not quiet

Lots of road noise at this location. Only two spots across from each other, really nice if no ones in the other one but annoying if someone is. Great Verizon service and nearby walking trail. Overall a decent site unless you’re looking for something with amenities.
