Nice State Park

We had the worst site on the lower lake campground, right one the corner, but all the other spots were shaded. Sites were small and a little close together but all in all a good campground. Bathroom and showers were very clean.

Clean, beautiful area, well maintained campground

We've camped here about 5 times this year, and every time we had a blast. The cam sites are very clean, the facilities are as well, and we've met a bunch of very nice people here. Lot of things to do around, from enjoying a day at the lake beach, to hiking on one of numerous hike ng trails, to dining in one of the nearby spots. Highly recommend.

Northwoods Campground

Big sites with 30 amp service available for RVs and trailers. Each site has a large picnic table and a fire ring with an adjustable grate. The pull-through sites don’t offer much in the way of privacy, but that’s the trade off for convenience. There are two potable water spigots in the campground. The bathhouse offers warm showers, 2 dishwashing sinks, and a coin-operated washer and dryer. The facilities are kept very clean. On the weekends it can get pretty crowded, so it tends to be louder at night then, but the camp hosts and the rangers do a good job of enforcing quiet hours. Access points to several trails are very near the campground. As with all PA state parks, alcohol is prohibited. The park doesn’t have a camp store, however, there is a small general store on Route 390 (The Lake Store) just north of the park that would have any essentials you may have forgotten, as well as ice for your cooler.

Quiet

Quiet and clean. Multiple sites on different sides of the lake with options for tents and RVs, both with and without hookups. The lake can get a little crowded and the bathroom can get messy, but very family friendly.

Remote place to unwind for the weekend

because of the cold we chose to stay in one of the cabins. Perfect option if you still want the rustic camping experience but prefer to not freeze to death. There are bunk beds and a small table with chairs and the cabin is also equipped with electrical outlets, a patio with picnic table, and a fire ring. Got to see a bald eagle by the lake and hike beside a waterfall. I want to come back and check it out in the summer, but even in the winter this was a great choice.
