Pretty but pretty odd

Lots of permanent residents in shanties. Odd folk walking about. Barking resident dogs. Cute site though! Creekside it was. Weather did rain on me all night and it was lovely. My tree had electricity and for that I was grateful.

  • Adorable site!
  • Cute creek!
  • Unfortunate site.

Klamath River Access

During the day it was busy as it is a key location for 1/2 day rafting trips on the Klamath. We weren't rafting but did enjoy the cool water. Didn't seem to be much in the way of activity to do if you weren't rafting. Trails in the area were very short. In the evening it cooled off and got nice and…

Great spot next to the river

We pulled in VERY late due to a mechanical breakdown and the camp host still came out to meet us.

The spot was easy to pull into and had hook ups minus dump (which can be found at the entrance).

The camp store is well-stocked and the host was awesome and very helpful.

It’s a dog friendly camp…

Great Stay

There are four campgrounds in very close proximity to each other in the Medicine Lake Recreation Area. We drive through the first two (Hemlock and A H Hogue) and didn’t see a site that suited us. The third campground is Medicine Campground and it seemed a little more spacious, so we chose a site…

Clean, wooded, lakeside

Nice & helpful hosts, several sites set aside for first come, first serve. Arrived on mid afternoon Sunday with no reservation and was able to get a lake view site. Short walk (<100yds) to lake with rocky beaches. Lots of swimmers, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing. Well maintained bathrooms,…

We drove through and chose not to stay

This portion of the camping area is called Oak Slope, the other being on the lake for RVs for residents displaced by fires.

For Oak Slope:   Imagine a steep tiered parking lot with narrow spaces. The whole campground is on a hill so the higher sites just look down on the lower sites. Most…

Loud and Poopy

Not far from Ashland and right past the Hyatt Lake Resort are some dispersed spots on BLM land near the lake. The lake level is very low so at this time you could drive quite close to it but it gets really muddy so watch out because it looks grassy and deceivingly dry.

There is road noise but…

All in one place.

Camped in our trailer, while son and his family rented a cabin. Great time. Music, restaurant has delicious food, and the fishing wasn't half bad (boat rentals available). This place has thought of everything. So busy we didn't have time to put the kayaks in the water. Made reservations for…

Surprising attraction this year

This lake is empty now (2021) and it’s a nice surprise to cross the barren lake bottom to see many different terrains. Would be a nice discovery trip for kids finding lake bottom treasures. There are many active bugs here too, for the entomologist in you. It’s a well maintained and healthy forest…

Nice and peaceful

We have stayed a few times in our rv with our dogs. It is very peaceful. The water and the pelicans are beautiful. The sites can be used with your rv or a tent. Each site has a fire ring and a grill. Our favorite thing to do is to take the dogs out for a walk in the Keno recreational forest. They…

Great campground right outside crater lake

Great campground that offers trash cans, water and bathroom. There is a nice trail on the site that brings you to the state park (1.3 miles). Only $10 a night!!! About 40 minutes from crater lake. There’s a very nice camp host. No fire wood for sale but, lots to go and grab. Huge sites and great…

Beautiful and tranquil

Whether you come by yourself, spouse, pet or kids, this place has it all! Basketball area, exercise, ping pong, canoe, pontoon, trampoline and more! Word has it, they're making an area for a BATTING CAGE! What RV resort have you ever heard of with that?!
