Klamath Rest Area

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting along Highway 97 North at the edge of Midland, this rest area doubles as an overnight parking stop for travelers moving through the Klamath Basin. The 12-hour maximum stay is a firm limit. Amenities include restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, designated dog areas with waste stations, and card-operated drink vending machines. The site is well-lit at night and reportedly clean, though train horns from passing freight traffic can interrupt sleep. Campers wanting a full-service alternative will find Volcanic Legacy RV Resort a few miles north, or can browse campsites near Klamath Falls for more options in the region.

nice rest area., But trains!

this is a very nice, well maintained rest area. 12 hour maximum parking very well lit at night, large grassy areas with dog poo stations for the doggos. my only qualm was the multiple trains that went by through out my stay and the sound of the horn waking me up.

Rest Area in Midland

Nice little rest area on Highway 97 North just as you enter Midland. They have restrooms, garbage cans, and drink vending machines (card operated only). There is a Klamath Falls Welcome office (standard hours of operation), and dogs are allowed in designated areas. I have never had any issue with staying overnight and sleeping in my car. It is safe and busier during the day.
