Four miles of crushed red volcanic gravel lead into Eagle Ridge Park, a small, first-come, first-served campground on the western shore of Upper Klamath Lake. The park has six to eight sites, a functional boat ramp, picnic tables, fire pits, and a vault toilet, but no potable water. Sites are on the rough side. Mosquitoes can be heavy in summer, and duck season and early spring trout season draw the most competition for spots. Anglers, paddlers, and birders make up most of the crowd. Campers wanting dispersed options nearby can look east toward Winema NF Dispersed — Modoc Rim above Upper Klamath Lake, or find places to camp near Chiloquin for a fuller range of services.
Description
Eagle Ridge Park is 634.88 acres in size, located off Highway 140; it's 15 miles west of Klamath Falls. This park contains 6 campsites, a boat launch, and new CXT vault toilets. The road to the tent campground is very narrow, so trailers aren't permitted past the boat launch. It's a hilly area, located on the shore of Upper Klamath Lake.
Eagle Ridge Park was purchased from the State Game Commission. An organization known as "The Hoo Hoo Club" assisted the County with the construction of a road into the park, and purchased picnic tables for public enjoyment.
