Great place to boondock. Large sites in a private campground. A bit difficult to access as two signs give conflicting information. One must call to reserve but another sign says welcome to all...covered picnic tables, outhouses, large sites close to Alsea River under old Doug Fir. Shady and quiet.…

Good county park

This is a well run county park. Women at the office were friendly and helpful. Campground was full while we were there but reasonably quiet. We were in a site along the highway which I would avoid due to significant road noise but we were lucky to get a spot. The sites in the loop where the office…

Still Our Number 1 Campground

We followed our GPS right to the campground(CG). The nice lady came right out to us from the office and checked us in. We then proceeded to pull through site 52 with FHUs for our two week’s stay. This was our second time here and we love this CG. The pull through was plenty long. We were able to…

Nice little campsite.

Limited to like 8 or 9 sites. No hookups and was very mellow last I stayed there. Bathroom on site. Close to highway, but, it wasn't too loud after dark.

Nice place to stay would recommend

The area is very quiet and peaceful all campers are respectful of others. Clean and appears well looked after. However the sites are pretty close together - it could be more attractive if the spacing was better. Good facilities with the social deck and of course the honor system for soft serve ice…

A hidden gem

This is a really fantastic campground with lots of trees and very private sides. I was impressed.

First come-first served

Decent spot to get away from Eugene for a night. We went on a weekday in June and had no issue getting a nice campsite. Not a lot of privacy, and the dock/swimming area can be kind of noisy and crowded. Love these little-known, little trafficked forest service campgrounds.

Vault toilets only.

Very remote and quiet

First, the road to get to the campground was super super narrow and winding. Scary to drive-don’t drive at night! Potholes in some areas and branches have fallen onto the road. Drive very slow! Water system at campground was shut down during my visit-some repair work is needed apparently. My site…

Beautiful and remote

Really small campground. Only about 30 spots. Only 4 other sites plus camp host site were occupied while I was there during the day week. The camp hosts David and Loretta were really nice. My site (13) was on the front loop. Tiny area to back in-pretty tight and my SUV is small. Definitely not…

Susan creek camping

A takeout point on the N Umpqua river trail, this is a reservation only campground. However, there is a phone in the campground you can use to make a reservation! I didn’t try it, but I am betting it is a dedicated line so you couldn’t use it to make other calls. The sites next to the…

Very small but nicely shaded next to the river

A standard forest service campground, it is small with only 7 sites on a lollipop loop, sandwiched between the highway and the river. Because of the size and the way the road loops on itself this is NOT a campground for rigs over 22’. All of the sites are on the river side with easy water access to…
