Beautiful/Quiet Site

Pulled in late, not quite a full campground but getting there. Spot had access to water, firepit, picnic table, and electricity. Staff/volunteers were extremely friendly. They do have firewood available. Only negative was the trash truck that pulled in for collection early the next morning. Showers and bathroom were very clean and water was hot. Very easy going campsite for sure check out if you are in the Eugene area.

Gorgeous Campground on the Lake!

Really nicely spaced sites, clean bathrooms, super friendly staff, quiet and beautiful! Nice path along the lake. Boat launch, marina and swimming beach nearby. Good shade trees for most sites. It's a Gem!

Good for heavy developed

Have stayed here a few times. Great campground even though it is way over developed period I prefer more primitive tamping however even though there are full restroom shower and all that stuff the campsites have way more privacy than you would expect from a place like this period It's not complete privacy but it is much better you're gonna find a lot of other places period would recommend this place if you like the privacy and a fully developed campground

Good county park

This is a well run county park. Women at the office were friendly and helpful. Campground was full while we were there but reasonably quiet. We were in a site along the highway which I would avoid due to significant road noise but we were lucky to get a spot. The sites in the loop where the office is are best/quietest. Restrooms are clean. Dump station is clean and well laid out. Power pedestals are in good condition. A drawback to an otherwise excellent t county campground is poor cellular signal. We could get 1 bar of Verizon, enough for texting and basic email but no data or streaming. No luck with ATT although our app showed a tower nearby.

A hidden gem

This is a really fantastic campground with lots of trees and very private sites. I was impressed.

Spacious sites in forested park near Fern Ridge Reservoir

I've lived in the Eugene/Springfield area for 20 years.  Until about six  years ago we camped 5-6 times a year.  Not once did we ever consider Richardson.  We thought it might be too urban.

A friend just bought their first camper and invited us to come along for their maiden voyage.  So glad we accepted because this CG is fantastic!  Dang near in our backyard!

The perimeter sites are mostly pull throughs.  Would be fun to reserve with a few other friends side by side to create a huge yard for kids and games!

Lots of shady spots too!

Only one real complaint.  I need STRONG wifi or cell signal to work.  T-Mobile and Verizon both suck at site 31.

I imagine we'll become regulars!

Very pretty and close to town

We took our RV on a 1-night “trial run” to kick off the season. We had never been to the camping area of this park before. The spaces were wonderful, and the hosts were very helpful—and loved our dog Bessie! We will return here for sure!

Nice and easy

Basic county camp ground with paved sites, 20/30/50 amp and water. Great access to Fern Ridge Reservoir. Very friendly hosts, easy after hours check in. Will stay again!

Roomy tent sites & awesome hosts!

Large, spacious tent sites with fire rings & tons of trees. The hosts are great and deliver firewood to your site. The showers are HOT and have great water pressure. Dumpsters & a recycle bin near the bathrooms. There is a road near some of the campsites but I didn’t mind the road noise. I was able to show up and get one of the 6 camp sites for 2 nights without reservations. There are a ton of mosquitos - bring bug spray!

very nice.

Nice campground that is kid friendly. They have movie nights and also have a little shop that has ice cream, candy, ice, etc. They have showers and flush toilet and the spots have hookups. It is also about a 5 or so minute walk to the swimming section on the lake. It does get crowded on the weekend and you definitely need to reserve in advance as the spots get booked quickly. the only thing I personally did not care for was that some of the spots are really close to one another and I prefer to have space and to be more secluded.

Close to town

Super close to town so you can even camp on a school night!

Park has hookups, sites are paved, has pull throughs for rvs. The park hosts are very friendly!

Has a small playground area with a swing set. Lake area is nice to spend the day and picnic.

If you go during the 4th of July they have an excellent fireworks show!

Definitely recommend!

Beautiful setting with trees and lake.

This campground is within 20 minutes of Eugene, Oregon, close enough if you forgot something, you can drive to town and get it.

Beautiful trees, with electricity in sites, free showers, bathrooms conveniently located and on a lake.

Our family loves this campground, especially on the weekends when there are outdoor movies playing for free.

Nice little place

Nothing too fancy about this place. However it was clean, great shower facilities and a short walk to the lake.

Not Tygart lake but Fern Ridge Res.

This campground is located on Fern Ridge reservoir in Veneta, just west of Eugene,Or. Nice little campground, very family friendly with plenty of lake access. They have boats sailing in the summer, but not such a good spot for winter. Great to just get out and beat the heat, maybe do some fishing in the nearby creeks.

Fantastic Biking, Boating and Occasionally Swimming

Have stayed here twice - love the ample space between campsites, all the room (forests, trails, roads, open fields, etc.) around the campsite, how it's right by the marina, how they show outdoor movies in the summer, the awesome 20, 25-mile bike ride around Fern Ridge Reservoir, which is what Richardson sits right on. It's just roomy everywhere, just begs and pleads to be explored. And, well, we all know about the great hiking trails nearby in Eugene. A comfortable off-the-beaten-path choice.
