  Premier RV Resort at Eugene

  Well Managed Campground

  This is a large campground, mostly populated by big rigs, and mostly long term stays. Looked like a lot of people were working in the area. Almost all of the RV's there are very nice - no long term stay hoarder scenes. The roads are paved, majority of sites are pull through, photos on Dyrt are accurate. We had a 30 amp site and all of the utilities were well maintained and arranged well. Water pressure was good. Everything is well maintained. The women in the office were friendly, efficient, and helpful. It is a very dog friendly park and there is lots of room for dogs but everyone picked up after dogs and we heard almost zero barking. There were a few kids there but they were quiet except for a little play time in the afternoons. Downsides: a couple of the machines in the laundry were out of service (but the others worked well); there is a lot of road noise from I-5; cellular reception is sketchy. The road noise varies a lot though so ask for a site close to the office or in the older section. The new sites farther back are closer to the interstate. The road noise was much less annoying than we anticipated and we slept well. There is a TA truck stop nearby for filling up as well as a diner and a McDonalds. Of course, driving into Eugene to eat is easy enough. We had just 1 bar of Verizon and it was unusable but we had 3 bars of ATT which worked well. The do have a dog wash station toward the back of the park and also a car wash station that is easily accessible on the main road. We stayed for 3 nights while taking care of some things in Eugene and it worked out well for us. If only this place was farther off the road it would really be great.

  Nice secluded campground

  Stayed 4 nights. Clean bathrooms, good space between campsites. Nestled in the tall trees, it would be cool during a hot summer. Since I visited in November and it rained, the drops from the trees were loud on my trailer roof. (Well duh!) 1/2 mile walk to the beach. Clean, safe, and quietWell maintained campgrounds, as are all Oregon parks. Great reservation system. (California in comparison has a terrible website. What’s up CA?) 30 and 50 amp electric, water and sewer at the site (Full hookups). Great dump station across the highway. Back in spaces, so a 40 foot RV would barely fit. This is an older but well maintained campground.

  Nice place to stay on the Oregon Coast

  A great little campground settled along the coast near Florence, Oregon.

  Get there early as reservations cannot be made and its all first come, first serve! It is extremely busy during peak season, so if your looking for a not so busy campground, this is not it.

  Full hook ups available along with restrooms/ showers, fire wood for sale and there is a dump station on site. Picnic table and fire pit at every site. You are along HWY 101, but the trees do provide a little bit of a sound buffer. There is no playground at this campground, however they offer the Junior Ranger Program to occupy kiddos which is great! Trails nearby lead down to the beach and its 2 miles by trail to the Heceta Head Light House.

  Overall this is a great family friendly little campground!

  Visiting in the off season is a great option if you can't get a spot in peak season as it is open year round.

  I would give this one the full 5 stars, but the inability to make reservations for this State Park is a huge con :/

  Port of Siuslaw Campground & Marina

  Pricey, But Loved It

  Parks that are walking distance to shops and restaurants are such a treat.  There are breweries, restaurants, farmers market (on Tuesday afternoon), shops, etc all within easy walking distance from here.

  We stayed at a waterfront site, which was cheaper than the "premium" pull through sites in the middle.  With fees and extra pet fees (you get one pet included in the nightly fee, any additional pets are $2 each) we paid $47 for a night.   The premium sites we would not recommend, unless you must have a pull through site.  Those are basically just spots in a gravel lot with hookups.  Zero division between sites.  And they are the most expensive at $55/night.

  There's a nice gazebo to use for group events, but it's an odd set up in that there is no path to the gazebo and it's in the center of a circle of back in sites.  So if all the sites were occupied, I suppose you'd have to walk through someone's site to access it?

  So pleasantly surprised to see glass recycling here!  We got to dump off our growing pile of traveling glass recycling.  Mixed recycling is in a separate bin.  But no plastics!

  There is laundry here, and showers, but we did not use either.  There's a book exchange shelf in the office.

  Their website is out of date: there are no dry camp spots any longer.  All sites are FHU.

  Good cell service here and their wifi is good and strong, even in the back end where we were.

  We liked this place to splurge on a place close to town, but overall too pricey for us to stay for any length of time.

  Armitage Park & Campground - a Lane County Park

  Book this one early!

  Located near Eugene, OR, this is one of the few local campgrounds near us.

  Open year round and it is usually full year round as well. Reservations are definitely a must for this small campground!

  This campground has all the amenities! Full hook up sites, toilets/ showers, laundry, swimming/boat ramp, picnic area, and even a dog park. Wide variety of site sizes and can accommodate most RV sizes. There are also hiking trails nearby.

  Close to town so you can easily get forgotten supplies or groceries. Perfect stay for a quick overnight when in town for Ducks games or just getting out of the house!

  Definitely recommend checking this one out if your in the area!

  Deerwood RV Park

  Nice RV park, but not worth the price

  We had a 10 day stay. Let me start with the positives:

  • Most spaces have at least 10-12 feet of grass between.
  • Nicely maintained.
  • Nice location, lots of trees and grassy areas.
  • Asphalt pads for most sites, some premium sites have a concrete pad for RV/trailer/camper with asphalt in front.
  • Decent wifi during the day, but slow as molasses at night. Assuming people streaming or downloading.

  Negatives:

  • One way route around the park.
  • Road is narrow and winding, larger rigs have issues with staying on path.
  • Mostly back-in spaces, which combined with the road, makes for interesting times getting your rig settled.
  • Spaces are fairly short, especially on Standard sites. We barely fit our 39’ Class A and a 2 door Jeep Wrangler. If our vehicle had been any longer, we would have had to park in overflow parking. We saw a lot of fifth wheels with no other vehicle in the space, we assumed they were in the overflow area.
  • No real spot to unhook a tow, except for the overflow parking area, which has a wider road portion.
  • Some signs of semi-permanent residents.
  • If you have a satellite, I am not sure the shady/trees spots would orient. We saw a lot of tailgater dishes at front of spots (we had a lawn spot with landscaping, but not in the trees).
  • Grassy lawn area is large enough to require weekly maintenance and the lawn mowing can be annoying.
  • ALL spots require jack pads. Having not stayed in too many parks with asphalt, this was a surprise for us. They did not mention at checkin, but we got a polite email the next morning.
  • Billed as a luxury rv park. Price does not reflect that. No pool, just laundry/showers/restrooms.
  • Freeway noise. Very close to I-5. Louder on the side of park closest to street and entrance.

  Harbor Vista Campground

  Great little gem in Florence OR

  I kinda like this little spot, although I must admit Florence OR isn’t on my to 10 places to stay on the coast. I find the beach access to the ocean (not river) to be a little more difficult here than other locations. Plenty of vegetation here in the park! Trees and bushes that others have described. This did cause us a small problem getting the slide out on the driver’s side while simultaneously lowering the entry steps on the passenger side. Site 25 if your wondering where we stayed exactly. Our picnic table was situated in the rear of the site. The tall vegetation provided great privacy from other campers, but also made it difficult to meet people. We had water, 30 amp power but now other amenities. Some sites do have full hookups. Our 30 foot trailer and truck did fit in the space length wise very nicely. The park is clean and welcoming. A trail will take you from the campsites down to the banks on the jetty. When the tide is out you can search for sand dollars and other tide pool finds. I work remote sometimes but our pre paid AT&T was almost non existent. T-Mobile worked good. Starlink wasn’t happening due to tree canopy obstructions. Yeah, so overall I’d say the park is great. Decently priced, level clean sites, great scenery, quiet. Cons for me, internet access is below average to poor ( your experience may be different), Florence lacks things that I personally am looking for on the Oregon coast, but you’ll need your own reasons for coming here. Mine was a stopover going north and to eat the best Thai food! That’s literally the name of the place lol Best Thai !  But if you’ve found yourself traveling through Florence, and needed a place to stop for a night or a week, I’d recommend here for sure.

  This Place Has Everything

  This campground is so nice and well kept, each site is pretty private and the whole area is just beautiful.  Some sites have a bit of sun but most are in the shade.  Some of the sites were tight and we had to back in to the site very creatively and carefully in our 26ft class c.  I'd imagine some of the huge 5th wheels would have trouble managing in some of the sites.

  Oregon State Parks now charge a 25% surcharge for RV spots (not tent sites) for non-Oregonions.  Sites are reservable on oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com.  Those without reservations can take empty sites for one night at a time.

  Some sites are electric and water only, and some are FHU for $3 more.  There are also hiker/biker sites at $8, and yurts (one is pet friendly for $10 more).

  Free dump station and potable water across the hwy at the day use area.

  They have recycling here, and they take glass, aluminum, tin, and paper, and empty propane bottles, but not plastic.

  They have free showers and firewood for sale.

  Zero cell service here with our Verizon and ATT phones.

  Seal Rocks RV Cove

  It's All About the View

  This was our second time here, and we enjoyed the first so much we decided to spend a month over Christmas to watch storms and hopefully see the whale migration. As Seal Rocks RV Cove is right off US-101, you take the second left at the sign if you are coming from the south. Per our instruction email, we headed straight to back-in site 18 with FHUs. Since we were going to be here a month, we fiddled more than normal to position our 40’ 5th wheel into position. Otherwise, this is a fairly easy back-in. Most of the positioning was to get more center on the gravel pad because there are tall hedges on both sides. This is a nice privacy feature in most sites. The water pressure was around 60 psi, so we used a reducer. Water and electric are more centered on the site. Site 18 has a great view of Seal Rock and the ocean. Another great feature of these sites is that the utilities are on both sides for back-ins like us, and Class As and Bs can pull in forward. We needed about 15’ of sewer hose with the back-in connection. The $45 nightly rate was based on an off-season monthly rate, and we did not have to pay extra for electricity. We had one bar on Verizon, which was usable for phone calls. We got a clear shot of the NW sky for Starlink. There wouldn’t be a problem for a southern shot as well. There’s a fire pit and picnic table at the back of the site. There’s a small fenced dog park and a beach trail path that leads out of the RV park to Hwy 101 to get to the beach trail. The park WiFi was pretty good, but there were not many campers here this time of year. The park managers are friendly and accommodating, and they enforce their rules. Two in particular were dogs on six-foot leashes and no LED lights at night. We were lax with our dogs because the park was empty, but they quickly reminded us of the rule. As you are right off US-101, there is road noise, but it quiets down at night. Seal Rocks RV Cove doesn’t have a laundry, but there’s one nearby in Waldport and two in Newport. There is so much to do and see in this area. We spent a month and still didn’t get everything done we wanted to do."
