Beautiful state park

Turkey Flats Section - RV spots are well spaced, plenty of room and not feeling like you’re on top of each other. Full hookups. Beautiful park with so many trees. Sort walk to Eufaula Lake. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Camp host very nice and makes sure you’re happy with your location.

Echo Ridge Campground Arrowhead St Pk

Gravel sites, not terribly unlevel, some have concrete pads. Quite getaway in the trees by the lake. Facilities are very clean, would stay here again. My kind of camping!

Great Lake Access, In Need Of Some Updating

I had always wanted to stay at this park after passing it a million times on the highway. I was very excited only to arrive and the office had closed early. Cell signal was sparse so I could not book online where I was so I opted to drive the campsites and find a spot in hopes of improved service or finding a campground host or park ranger.

I quickly noticed that the upper loop for camping was not very improved and sites seemed a bit close together. The restroom was not terrible it had both a shower which I find to be extremely helpful since it is a lake property. The grass was a bit overgrown, in large part likely to the recent rains.

I drove on to the next loop and found that the Circle loop had a few more improved sites near the water but the ones further inward lacked proper parking and were again overgrown. By the time I made it to the RV loop, I noticed this is where there had been massive improvements. Slabs were poured for each site to keep sites level, grass had been maintained providing a nice lawn area for recreation. Much like the other loops each site came standard with picnic tables, lantern hooks and fire rings, but these were by far much more desirable when it comes to a paid site.

I do hope that in the future they continue to make improvements to this campsite because it was in need of a little TLC in the first loops and also some of the picnic shelters and restrooms.

I would like to give this one another shot in the future.

Arrowhead State Park

Tent camped at Lakeview site #254. The sites aren’t well marked but they’re right near the water. There’s a good playground and the bathrooms were decent. There’s a marina restaurant nearby and plenty of hiking.

Great Day of Camping

Tent camping. Beautiful view at our campsite. We were close to the lake, and enjoyed the nice breeze and awesome views of the sunset! The sites are very big with tons of space. We went to Lake Eufala state park and hiked around, but really there aren’t great hiking trails in the area. This camping experience would be one where if we came back we would bring friends and enjoy just being at our campsite. We had a great time!

I will say there is ALOT of trash. It didn’t deter us much, but I think it’s worth noting. Some sites we walked passed were filled with bottles and cans. Ours had a ton of cigarette butts all around, and also so weird trays/debris in the fire ring. The only other thing I didn’t love was that while on the map it’s all very well marked, none of the sites had markers and if they did they weren’t nec correct. The only number we could see was 253 in the grill and on the map it was our 255. Our site neighbors said there aren’t any real markers and to just settle there or find one that’s more suitable because the park wouldn’t fill up. It didn’t. But we enjoyed our sites views and space- even with neighbors. No lights around the roads or anything except at the bathroom, but it wasn’t difficult to navigate.

Bathrooms pretty close, and were clean and tidy. Great playground are for kids!

Arrowhead State Park

We stayed at Arrowhead in a travel trailer, with friends tent camping on our site. Nice big pull thru site located in Turkey Flat, although most sites do not have much shade / covering. Great location on Lake Eufala with a golf course nearby, as well as horseback riding located in the park. Staff was friendly, as well as the Park Hosts. Family friendly and quite, with great trails incorporated throughout.

Great Camping

This campground is off of Eufala Lake which is really pretty. One of the reasons I liked this campground was how quiet it was. We went in the summer and there weren't very many people. There was also an area off of the paved road, called off-road camping or something and you could drive on a dirt road down towards the water. We set up camp right off the beach and had no neighbors. There are hiking trails nearby as well.

Nice little park!

Arrowhead State park is located near Lake Eufaula. It has a very nice visitors center where you can pay for campsites and purchase firewood. The park is near a golf course, and most camp locations are right near the water. The hiking trails were nice.
