Down and Dirty but Beautiful

When you come in stay to the left on the secondary road.  This area is low key and off the regular drag.  You are actually going away from Lake Eufaula but that also mean you are getting away from the population.  This recreation are might not have any or many amenities but you have the peaceful sounds of silence.  There many water sites where you can relax and enjoy the sunsets.  The recreation area is well maintained and the sites are in good condition.

You will need to bring your supplies with you, granted it is not that far out of town but once you get there you really do not want to have to go back out.  You will not find this recreation are on the recreation.gov web site but you can call them.  There is not a camp host since this is such a small site.

There are a number of trees that offer shade for your sites but it is also open.

Directions:  From Eufaula, go 6 miles west on SR 9; then 2 miles south.
