Great for the price and location

Stayed here to be close to the NP and it is a great little campground for a reasonable price. Big dog park with pond on the other side of the park. Sites are uneven but my favorite part was the wooded path.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Nice campground near Cuyahoga

We were in the area exploring Cuyahoga Nat Park and found Silver Springs. It was 18$ for a site with electric hook ups (15$ if you are a Stow resident) No option for no paying less for no hook-up camping. Water close by and port a pottie style bathrooms close to the camp sites. There are flush toilets a walk away but we didn’t use them. Sites are big and grassy but not super level. Wasn’t a big issue for us but could be for a bigger camper. The campground was calm and quiet. Lots of trails close by. Dog park down the street as well as a play ground and fishing pond! We had a great few days staying here and will be back if we are even passing thru Stow again.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Lots of options!

We really loved this little spot! It appealed to all of what we were looking for, our camp host was awesome. There was even a dog park within walking distance- a lot of trails to explore too. No showers and the Porto potties weren't the cleanest... But they were functional. Very hospitable locals- we were invited to a square dancing party that evening in the park! Very comfy and safe.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Great parking

The bathrooms are portojons and there are no showers, however there is THE best dog park I have ever seen in this area. So my dogs loved this campground more than me and that was worth it. It was dark enough to see a space station cross the sky at night. The camping spaces are rather close, but so many people want to camp there, because of its proximity to everything amazing.

"There is also a wooded walking trail network on the east and North sides of the campground," notes Gary G., making it convenient to explore the surrounding area between fishing sessions.

Dog swimming: Take your furry friends to Clay's Resort Jellystone Park where pets can exercise freely. "Fantastic dog park with a swimming beach for dogs only. Fun to watch them play even if you don't have a dog," mentions Judy F. about this pet-friendly camping option near Lakemore.

Canoeing and kayaking: Mill Creek Camping offers waterfront sites with easy boat access. "We were fortunate that our spot was right beside the lake and we could keep the boat docked there during our stay," explains Renee G., highlighting the convenience for water-loving campers and their pets.

What campers like

Spacious tent sites: Heritage Farms offers unique camping experiences. "Sites are spread apart nicely. Each one has a picnic table and fire ring. Grassy spots that are fairly level and mowed," writes Josh W. This Christmas tree farm setting creates a distinctive camping environment not found elsewhere in the area.

Clean facilities: Campers appreciate the well-maintained bathrooms at Streetsboro-Cleveland SE KOA. "Friendly, accommodating, clean, for everyone," notes Kenneth B. The campground also features "Swimming (wish it were open a little later…) laundry 24/7, a game room, store with just what we needed to pick up a few things," according to Jennifer H.

Private wooded sites: Some campgrounds offer seclusion for pets that need space from others. "Our site was beautiful and private. We also had a lot of space. We couldn't really see or hear any other campers," explains Abbey E. about her experience at Heritage Farms.

What you should know

Tips from RVers

Leveling challenges: Cuttys Sunset Camping Resort has some site limitations to consider. "The main thing is the spots are soooo small. You open your door and there is a picnic table and then the next camper. Really no room," observes Scott B., suggesting RVers request specific sites when possible.

Hookup options: Silver Springs Campground offers limited electrical options. "Only 3-30 amp hooks ups, the rest are 20 amp," notes Judy F., important information for RVers with higher power requirements.

Site surface considerations: Be prepared for varying site conditions. "Sites were gravel and level. We enjoyed full hookups," reports Sharon J. about Streetsboro-Cleveland SE KOA, though other campgrounds may have grass or dirt surfaces that become muddy after rain.
