Cherokee Park Camground

Cherokee Park Campground operates as a private facility in Mogadore, accommodating RVs up to 50 feet with electric and water hookups. The seasonal campground runs from April through October and provides basic amenities including restrooms, showers, and a dump station. Recent campers report mixed experiences with site conditions, noting that some areas have minimal gravel coverage that can create challenging access during wet weather. The facility includes a pond on the property, though water quality varies seasonally. For those exploring the broader region, campsites around Kent provide additional options. The campground appeals to visitors prioritizing a low-key atmosphere over polished amenities.

Family loved it.

We loved it. It’s laid back and people mind their own business. That’s the way camping used to be. Clean restrooms/showers. Owners were nice. Probably not up to everyone’s standards but it was ours. We are looking for vibes, not amenities. This place had great vibes.

Old and run down

Old campground. Bathrooms were dirty and not cared for. Sites had very little gravel, we ended up getting 2 trucks stuck trying to get our camper out after the weekend. Pond was covered in algae and mosquito infested. Going there once was enough for us.

Just over night but never again

We stayed here just to go to akron ohio and where not at the campground much but i can tell you the swimming hole was a mud hole and the hook ups were on the wrong side and if i pulled in like they wanted me to. They told me to pull in and not back in. But my truck would have been in a pavilion and i would not have been able to unhook and when we went to dump after the weekend there dump station was over flowing and i couldnt even empty my tanks
