Great place for passers through or staycationers.

We have stayed in four sites her during the past couple of month. There are two walk-in sites (10 & 51). Both were pleasant, nearly level, close to amenities, but were under no shade. [Site 10 is presently inhabited by a large family with a sign that says “Camp Host out front. I have not…

No converted shuttle buses allowed!

I called to make a weekend reservation and the woman asked what year and vehicle I had. When I told her I was traveling in my converted 2012 shuttle bus she immediately (and with a disgusted tone) informed me that "no, we don't take those vehicles here". I tried to tell her that my rig was a…

Not relaxing

The campsites are on top of each other. It has very little woods around it. You can hear the street traffic and airport all day. The planes are taking off right by the camp. They have a very loud chapel service starting at 7:30am on Sunday morning. You have to leave park to do any activities like…

Amazing campground!

Loving our stay here at Winton Woods! Got a site right near the playground. Spacious sites, shade, a lake, bike paths, boat rentals. You have everything a nature lover could want! Would love to see more full hookups up sites. Upgrade the laundry room/showers. There is no bathhouse in the back…

Clean and Convenient

We stayed here for three months. Pam and Jack are amazing hosts. So thankful for their flexibility and hospitality. Would love to see some more amenities in the future! Maybe a playground?!? Not much to do for the kiddos. But so clean, great sites, convenient to the city, right on the river. We…

Gorgeous State Park

Lovely, clean, well-kept campground. Beautiful views. Drive getting to the park was less than pleasant, through winding and super narrow roads with no shoulders.

LodgeTastic

My partner and I stayed at the campsite. Our spot was great and the hiking was super convenient and amazing! The lodge was SO awesome. A true staple of the 60’s. The food there is a must! Best brisket and pizza we’ve ever had hands down.

Great campground

Sites are large, most with concrete pads. Grounds are well kept. Camp sites available next to the lake. Beautiful lake for kayaking, boating and swimming. Only downfall is that you have to drive a few miles to get to the beach.

When we booked, no one thought to question if we could swim in the lake.

Nice but bathrooms need updated

The campground and area is nice. The campers are pretty much all about the water activities. The big lake is nice and long with multiple no wake areas. There are a couple of beach areas. The camp bathrooms are concrete block and pretty clean but old and need updates. Great shower pressure! The…

Hidden Gem

Stayed at this campground 3 nights in one of their pull through RV sites. (Sites 8r and 5r) the site was paved and level and had a full hook up. The full hook up sites are in the middle of the camp, thus can be a little noisy. The more scenic sites are along the lake and are gravel and only have…
