Nice

Called in on Saturday Morning got a cabin at a great price for the night. Family oriented place. Older couple that runs it is super nice and friendly but doesn’t bother you. Shower house clean water hot hot. Quiet time is respected.

New to the area and I will be back

I went mountain biking from the campground and had an awesome stay. The river was nice to have close to the site and it was a fun spot to stay. I have a rooftop tent and it opened up easily in the site I stayed and it looked like you wouldn’t have an issue in most of the car sites there for…

Nice sites and prices

A regular campsite is $20 a night for a tent. Their group campsite was open for $26 a night so I got that instead! 😄

Nice, clean campground!

Overall, Paddy's Creek is really nice. The bath house seems nearly new & clean. The sites are all nicely taken care of, & even though they're a little close together there are enough trees to separate them. Also, down the hill ~100 yards, through the forest, was a nice little private…

Labor Day weekend

We absolutely loved camping here. Our campsite was really big too especially compared to most they are pretty small and right on top of each other. Beautiful hiking trails. First time ever hiking and with 3 kids. Ages 6,4, and 1. They absolutely loved it. Highly recommend doing carrick creek…

Great Family Campground

Great campground, even better location. Listen to the river while you relax and kick back or explore the area!

Best Primitive

Love this area. It can get a little crowded on weekends but overall you can find some pretty nice spots up and down the trail. Trout fishing, rafting, tubing and hiking. everything the primitive camper might want. No bathrooms available.

Beautiful campground, but not for us

We had a mountaintop site- not with the deck, but still up top. The campground is really beautiful and well maintained. The bathhouse up top seemed to be brand new. It had two full bathrooms with toilet, sink, and zero entry large shower. There was also a laundry room adjacent. There’s a…

Holidays here are GREAT!

Halloween is awesome here, plan on a solid week here to see things in the area. Gem mines, waterfalls, brewery and shopping in nearby Asheville. There is plenty to do year round, make sure to buy a family pass for games etc. they really cater to family oriented fun. The tent sights high up require…

Quant little place in natural setting

Nice creek running nearby and a few short walking paths. The drive to spruce pine is scenic and long but head back toward bat cave and there ade neat little adventures to have with the kiddos. The roadside trout streams are great and you can even catch some dinner behind the gem mine in town. It…

Hiking trails are nice- bring a boat for the best time

The hike in tent sites are excellent. The walk is well worth the work, ive heard the boat in sites are even better. We camped in January and it was cold enough to surprise us with snow a few nights but warm enough for t shirts in the afternoon. Bring extra gear. The fishing from shore is decent but…

Relaxing Mountain Getaway

Nice KOA with all the amenities you would expect. More cabins to choose from than most and about 4 miles from shopping. Nice fishing ponds and about 1/2 mile from Mingo Falls.

A Lovely Campground!

What a great campground - definitely one of our new favorites! We stayed on site 37 and wow, the views! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the CG was so quiet in the evenings. Definitely an A+ campground. The only thing we would say is to be very careful if you’re up on one of the…

❤💙

Perfect primitive camping spots. There are streams near bottom of the mountain and the road does loop all the way around. The second entrance is about 9 miles from the first on the main road (276) which is right before cradle of forestry. We decided to go to the top. Water does run off from the top…
