      Seamist Camping Resort

      Both Scenic AND Sunny

This Campground offers Scenic Woods on one end, and Beachfront Views on the other. It's a basic campground, built for those who enjoy the outdoors while still wanting a few bonus thrills like a pool, pickleball, laundry and bathhouse.

I really enjoyed the private beach and fishing pier as well as the onsite team. Everyone was extremely friendly from the tent campers to the weekenders with semi permanent sites.

      Highly recommend.

      Carolina Beach State Park Campground

      Nice, large, private campsites

We stayed in early August. Hot, humid, and raining. The sites are large and well kept. Bathrooms and shower houses are available and are clean and well maintained. Dumpster and recycle containers available on exit. Overall very nice!

      Apache Family Campground

      A Family Tradition

I’ve been coming to this campground since I was about 5. My grandparents camped here, my parents now own a permanent place here, and we just purchased a camper to vacation here. It’s a wonderful community feel! There’s activities for all ages and the grounds are well kept.

      Brunswick Beaches RV Resort

      Nice Campground near the beach

Well maintained, clean, relatively few full-timers. Perfect for a long weekend or week near enough to the beach

      Carolina Beach State Park Campground

      Large, private sites

We quasi-boondocked our camper, stayed at a tent site. Nice, quiet campground. Lots to do in the area; could easily stay longer than the three nights we reserved.

Bath houses were clean, but need more hooks for clothes, towels, etc.

At dump station, the hose for cleaning the black tank leaked.

      Carolina Beach State Park Campground

      Carolina Beach Tent Camping

This has always been my favorite place to tent camp when I get a chance to stay here as it can get very busy in the spring and summer months. I stayed in February and there was only a few other near my site. I enjoy the convenience of the nearby grocery stores and beaches. But if you’re not back before they close the gate at 7pm you won’t be able to get back to your site until the next day. So be mindful of the time. It’s for the your and the other campers safety. But you can park at your site and walk or bike in and out on the side of the road.

      Holden Beach RV Campground

      Would stay again

We spent 2 months at HBRV campground in spring of 2026. The staff is amazing. Our campsite was a little tight, as many of them are. But they also have some spacious, private spaces. There are only 2 washing machines for the whole campground, so laundry can get tricky on busy days. Several showers (5) including a handicapped shower. Nice clean, hot, high pressure showers. Not much climate control in the bath houses, so it can be hot or cold, depending on outside temps. Great walking trail around the park, as well as a small dog park. Grounds are well maintained & is located about 2 miles from the beach with a free shuttle back & forth. They do charge $3 per package for any deliveries. Very quiet, friendly park & we would recommend staying there.

    Guide to Winnabow

RV camping near Winnabow, North Carolina provides convenient access to both inland forests and coastal attractions along the southeastern region of the state. The area sits within Brunswick County where average summer temperatures reach the mid-80s with high humidity while winter temperatures typically remain mild, rarely dropping below freezing. Most campgrounds in the Winnabow vicinity remain open year-round due to the favorable climate conditions.

    What to do

Beach access options: Holden Beach RV Campground offers a short 5-minute drive to nearby beaches where visitors can swim and sunbathe. "We are only a few miles from the beach. The sites have full hook-up, fire pits, and picnic tables," notes camper Thom C.

Fishing opportunities: Waterfront camping at CarrollWoods RV Park includes access to their fishing pond for catch-and-release angling. The grounds feature "a pool, playground, volley ball court and horseshoe pits" according to reviewer Jen B., making it suitable for multiple outdoor activities.

Wine tasting: Campers can sample local wines directly at CarrollWoods RV Park, which shares property with Grapefull Sisters Vineyard. "If you visit, you must get one of their wine floats," recommends Nancy C. The tasting room typically operates Wednesday through Saturday afternoons.

    What campers like

Pool facilities: Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach offers multiple swimming options including "4 pools and a water park for the kids," according to Deb P. The property features "indoor pools, outdoor pools, waterslide, putt putt, bowling alley, and an arcade" for varying weather conditions.

Pet amenities: Dog owners appreciate the specialized facilities at North Myrtle Beach RV Resort where "the dog park is small and definitely geared towards smaller dogs. It has a cute agility type course set up," reports Ariel F.

Spacious campsites: Willow Tree RV Resort provides generously sized camping spots. "Have plenty of space between you and your neighbors. Roughly 2-3 trailer widths between on both sides. Every spot is concrete, pull through, fire pit, and picnic table," reports Tucker M., who visited during Halloween weekend.

    What you should know

Seasonal considerations: Summer months bring significantly higher occupancy rates and potential wait times for amenities. "We camped here in our 34 travel trailer... The place is VERY quiet in the off season. We didn't have any neighbors in the surrounding spots," notes Ariel F. about their stay at North Myrtle Beach RV Resort.

Mobile connectivity: Cell service quality varies between carriers. "T-Mobile and ATT connectivity 4 bars," reports one camper at North Myrtle Beach RV Resort, while another mentions "We both work from home on hot spots and our Verizon connection was great."

Community atmosphere: Some campgrounds function more as residential communities than traditional campgrounds. At Harbor Point RV Community, "This is an RV community not a campground. It's very strict (which is totally proper for a community) but we found as 'transients' that we were unwelcome," explains Beth M.
