    Nice Place

We stayed here for a week, our site was large with full hookups and the area was very clean, some sites in other sections are closer together. There are lots of seasonal campers so if you don’t like that atmosphere this is probably not the place for you. It’s a great base for sightseeing. This is a Thousand Trails Campground and we have had a wide range of experiences with these campgrounds. This is one of the nicer ones.

    Great view, great price

We rolled in at 6:30, and Shawn had us ready with full RV hookups at our site in 10 minutes. Level sites witg fire pits. Views were gorgeous. Easy walk to restaurants. Friendly neighboring campers.

    Great campground

Good level site water and electric (full hook ups also available) electric box a little far from parking site had to use an extension cord. Plenty of activities and friendly staff. To early in season to use pool. Conveniently located to Boston about 30 minutes. Bring bug spray especially if it’s humid or raining

    Tuxbury Pond RV Campground

Old and a bit rundown but good amenities.

We had tried to book a site at the campground twice through Thousand Trails and were assigned sites that did not fit our fifth wheel. Both times, the campground called us and cancelled because we didn’t fit in the sites that Thousand Trails had put us in. 😳 So, I called Thousand Trails and explained what was happening and was told they couldn’t do anything about it because their system showed we fit in those sites. 🙄 I then called Tuxbury back directly and they told me that they would contact Thousand Trails and let them know their system was incorrect, which they did. I received a call back afterwards from the campground letting me know they had me reserved for the correct site for our RV size. She had told me that this happens often there. We have a 35’ fifth wheel and TT was putting us in sites in section H. These sites are too small and hook-ups are on the wrong side. The correct sites are section J. Section J sites are large pull-through sites and very comfortable. I hope this helps anyone that goes through this scheduling nightmare! Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful. The park itself is old and a bit rundown. We were there for over a week in July and grounds were not mown once. It was overgrown and definitely needs some love. They do have a lot of amenities/activities for the whole family. One last note is that this campground is a golf-cart racetrack! Underage kids on golf-carts racing around and yelling a lot at all hours! We’re not sure what it was about and seems to be a frequent issue in New England campgrounds. 😬😬

    Epsom Valley Campground

    Great private campground.

Lots of good things to say about the campground. Slow river runs by the property, big pine trees throughout, store with reasonable prices, electric and water at all the sites we saw plus for those that want it, sewer hookups. It is also only a mile from the highway. We were happy to find it and it was the other reviewed that convinced us that this was a nice stopping point on the way to Acadia NP. Owner was great, showed us our campground and ready bacon for our slot. This campground also supports long term camping and those trailers seem to be mostly in the center area. We didn't use the shirts as our trailer is self contained, but we did walk into the bathrooms and they were spotless. There are kids games and a putt-putt course.

    Hampton Beach State Park Campground

Excellent Oceanfront campground in New England

If you are looking for a New England oceanfront RV park, this is a great choice. It is basically a parking lot, but with full hookups and on the ocean. The ocean breezes are fantastic. One side of the campground is bordered by an inlet that fishing boats use to head out from the harbor. Another side is sand dunes, that are the south end of Hampton beach. You can't see the open ocean from the camp site, but you can see the inlet and walk right out onto the beach. It is really hard to find a beach campground with elbow room and full hookups. This is a great one. It is very difficult to get reservations as it is extremely popular.

    Pillsbury State Park Campground

Very nice dog friendly state park

Pillsbury resides in a very pretty spot nestled around a lake. There are campsites that are car accesable and remote campsites only accessable by boat. Canoe rentals are available at the park. The nearest town is close enough that the first one up goes and buys Dunkin Donuts for the rest each morning.

Pillsbury Campground is described as primitive which means no hot showers, RV hookups and stuff like that. It is a perfect place to get away from all the stuff I don't really need and get a little closer to the stuff I do.

I have stayed at Pillsbury on several ocasions going back year after year.

    Pout and Trout

    Beautiful and family oriented campground

This campground is located near two beautiful disc golf courses and the reason we stayed. The campground itself was fantastic, the owner at the front building was very helpful and so sweet. Most of the residents were long term sites but very friendly. Got to talking with an employee who'd worked for 5 years there and the rules and regulations in place here keep the campground clean, friendly, and safe. They provide water, electric, showers, and septic pump trucks that come to you. The shower house was a bit old and dirty, but honestly that's the only thing I could complain about.

    Spacious Skies French Pond

Comes with a surprise French Pond

The campground has a gravel area at the sites where the fire ring and picnic tables are. Where we parked our trailer was some gravel sand and dirt. We were at the end of a lane, backing in was fine we are small, 21 feet including tongue, we fit fine. Great site across from a beach, on French Pond I’m guessing is at least 25 acres. Most of the sights are long term. Camp was pretty much full, even then it was quiet. Restroom closed to covid, some campgrounds kept them open and just cleaned more. Well no complaint here we’re self contained. Some areas could use some tidying up. Still I would gladly stay here again.

Sea Coast Camping and RV Resort

Small, clean, quiet campground close to NH beaches and Portsmouth NH

Friendly staff, hard gravel access roads, level gravel sites. No issues with electric, sewer or water hookups. Some of the best clear, clean, drinking water at high pressure we have come across. Great access to beaches, numerous eateries and shopping minutes away. This is our second time we have been here and here for the month of September.

I would reccomend Seacoast RV Park to other campers.

    Ashuelot River Campground

    One of the nicest

Chuck and Laura are wonderful hosts and always available to help. The campground is clean, quiet, with plenty of open sites as well as sites in the woods. Sites big enough for our 42’ 5th wheel and 2 cars. Sites in the woods have water and 50 amp service, no sewer. Most of the open sites have 30/50 amp service with full hook-ups. River view sites available. Canoe rental available. Clean bath houses, laundry, dump station gameroom, and camp store. One of the best in the area!

    Keyser Pond Campground

    Not for us

This was our first time out with a camper after tenting for decades. As soon as we saw our site my heart fell. We were literally surrounded on all sides with no privacy at all. The site was small and across from the basketball hoop( not great if you want to sleep in). We walked around the campground and there appeared to be some nice tent sites, but a majority of the full hook up sites were seasonal and some looked to have been there for quite awhile and they appear to have squeezed in as many sites as possible.Lots of activities for kids. A pond that many used for kayaking and canoeing. Dog friendly, nice enough staff. The one time I used the bathroom there, it was clean and functional. I just felt like the whole weekend we were being watched and won’t go back. Others love the campground, but we like some privacy.

    Tidewater Campground

    Convenient, quiet and well run

We've stayed at Tidewater a number of times including short stays as we were looking for a house in the area. The short version of this review is that it is a very, very nice campground and we strongly recommend it.

It's hard to believe that this has been in business as long as it has. I grew up spending summers at a campground in Maine that is just about as old. I've gone back there a couple of times to revisit old memories. What a mistake. That place has not aged well. On the other hand Tidewater is almost immaculate: Clean bathrooms, very well maintained grounds, nice pool and more. There's always someone working to keep things in great condition.

Maybe my favorite part of Tidewater is Theresa, the owner and manager. She's friendly, helpful and very easy to work with. She even remembers me when I come in after months away.

On the other hand...: Maybe you'd better find some other place to stay if you don't like rules. You know-- the kind of rules that basically remind you not to be a selfish jerk. No dogs, because so many people don't seem to care about bothering neighbors when their dog barks. A very strict(and slow) speed limit throughout the campground, to try and keep kids from getting run over. If you like to get drunk and noisy, again I'd urge you to go somewhere else. We've stayed at countless(literally; I have no idea) campgrounds and RV parks all across the country. The parks with firm, fair rules-- like Tidewater-- are so much more enjoyable than the parks that are poorly run, and where the management clearly just cares about renting every site, no matter how people behave.

So look at the rules on the Tidewater site. To me they seem logical and reasonable. But I've seen negative reviews by people who feel they can do whatever they please, no matter how it affects those around them. I don't know about you, but to me that's pretty annoying.

By the way, I've seen reviews claiming that there are a lot of permanent residents here.  I haven't seen that.  There are certainly a number of units that have been there for years, but as far as I know they're seasonal visitors who just like the place.  This is definitely Nothing like a trailer park, which is what the "permanent resident" description sounds like.

Tidewater is in a great location, just off a major highway but far enough away so you don't hear anything. Very close to Hampton and Hampton Beach, and almost as close to Portsmouth. Read between the lines of the negative reviews. And keep in mind that Good Sam rates Tidewater highly. It's a great place to stay.

    Beach Rose RV Park

    No privacy, crammed sites

The owner is nice and helpful, but this is not an rv park, it is a parking lot of rvs, we are so close together that we can hear (feel) the children playing in the camper next to us. Wit appears that this caters to contract workers that choose an rv versus hotel or apartment. In order to get into a spot, cars must move as there is no place to put a car except in front and many here have two,

    Beach Rose RV Park

Close to the beach and freindly

It’s a 50 site campground and built 20 years ago, so it’s cozy small sites in some spots. But for the money of your from out of state it’s cheaper then the state park down the street and it has full hook-ups with laundry, showers and a heated pool when the ocean is colder then you want. They assist you in getting into your cement pad site and guide you down to your site.

Even though the sites are small in spots the people are friendly and very welcoming. We meet some seasonal campers that were very friendly and informative about the area. Great location from the ocean and some nice towns to visit. Boston and Salem are very close and you can take a train which is only 5 minutes away from the campground.

Campground is very clean and well kept. Pool is very nice to hangout and cool off. Showers are not free, but for a the money you get plenty of time to shower off. Bathroom is very clean and maintained.  Owners and hosts where friendly and helpful with thing to do in the area and where to eat for the best New England seafood restaurants. Highly recommend checking the place out if your looking to stay in the area.

    Spacious Skies Seven Maples

Clean, friendly staff and fun for the kids!

We had an awesome stay at Seven Maples with our family of six and dog.

We have a 25 foot trailer and stayed in the Grove area. Our site 19 was spacious and wooded. There was a lot of poison ivy on both sides of us but the kids kept away so we weren’t worried about it. We loved being next to the large field and basketball court where we watched the kids play without having to worry where they disappeared to. The Grove and Hemlock Heights are particularly nice areas with more spacious, wooded and quiet sites. The Safari Field and more central full hook-up sites were pretty crammed. We definitely would have wanted to know our neighbors in those areas!

The campground, pool, playground and bathrooms were very clean. The pool is amazing for kids of all ages with water slides and a splash area. There’s no life guard or staff monitoring the pool area so it did get a little too crazy at times for my little ones. The playground is really big with plenty to do. There’s also a fishing pond and short hiking/biking trails.

There weren’t any extra activities for the kids as some other family-friendly campgrounds have but they did have a reasonably priced Father’s Day breakfast that was outstanding!

This is definitely a place we will return to!

    Beach Rose RV Park

Nice small campground near the beach!

Beach Rose RV Park in Salisbury, Massachusetts is a small, friendly, family-owned campground near the beach. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to find us a spot on a busy holiday weekend due to a campground mishap. The park is very clean and they have a nice swimming pool and amenities. The dog park area was large and shady, but a lot of mosquitos. You are pretty close to your neighbors, but the sites do accommodate bigger rigs because of the length. The sites are 30/50 amp FHU and wifi was decent. The best thing about Beach Rose RV Park is the proximity to the beach and town. Who doesn’t love a day at the beach? 💗😬👍🏻

    Wakeda Campground, LLC

Seasonal camper oriented, but comfortable for a short stay

We stayed for two nights at Wakeda with our travel trailer. The paved roads were a plus, as was a very level campsite. The majority of campers seemed to be there for the season and were their own little community.

Our full hookup site was very close to other sites, so unfortunately we had to deal with some noise issues. We could hear our neighbors loudly talking at 2 AM, and also were treated to the sound of the same neighbor's dog barking for hours during the when they left him alone. That being said, this was not the fault of the campground itself.

Wakeda's proximity to Hampton Beach was awesome -- a less than 15-minute drive for us. We also enjoyed the dog park. It was spacious and well maintained.

    Pawtuckaway State Park Campground

    Something for everyone

Lovely wooded campground where you can swim, hike, kayak, bike, canoe, fish, boulder, geocache and explore to your heart's content. Generally large and level sites, many with water access, Make your reservation well in advance if you're planning to visit during peak season or if you want a prime waterfront site. Sites on Horse Island will cost you $5 more than those on Big Island, but many of the sites are directly on the water, making it easy to slip your boat into the lake from your site. There's a campers only boat launch on Horse Island. Much of the lake is better suited to paddle craft rather than motor boats due to it's shallow nature and rocks. The an expansive beach as well, a camp store and boat rentals.

I've had a weekend when my neighbors were playing loud music all afternoon and stumbled drunk through my campsite after dark and other weekends when it was hard to tell there was anyone around.

Driving around this past weekend I did notice that some of the sites had damp spots; site 71 was the worst with deep mud on the long approach. Site 73 is near the bath house, but it has a long approach that provides a little privacy and it's higher than the surrounding sites with water access. Sites in the 3-15 range are waterfront, but they're higher off the water. Site 43-45 are great. Those along the southern edge of Horse Island offer a more level entry. Roads are narrow and many of the site entrances are narrow with rock/tree obstructions in places that may make backing in more of a challenge to thsoe with trailers or RVs. No hookups.

The bath houses are tired, but they offer free showers. Would love to see them renovated and brightened up. Big Island also has cabins available. Phone coverage is poor (Verizon); can usually get texts out. If you want to geocache, download the info for offline use!

If you are used to camping with pets, you'll need to visit outside of peak season as they are not allowed in the campground Memorial Day to Columbus Day and never on the beach.

It has a longer season than many campgrounds in New Hampshire, running to the end of October, and you can generally get a site last minute if you're waiting on the weather and don't need/want a water site. Its proximity to Boston makes it great for a quick getaway.

    Kampfires

    Delightful

This place is pretty awesome. They have an ice cream shop attached to their office/store, mini golf just outside of it too. There is an amphitheater for concerts and shows throughout the summer. RV Spots, tent camping spots, a dog park, badminton, basketball, horseshoe, shuffleboard, the works. The bathrooms are beautifully redone and clean. The laundry room is pretty good too. Its close to Brattleboro and Putney and just across the border to New Hampshire. I'd most definitely stay again when I'm in the area. The other guest were very nice and we could also have packages delivered.

    The Pine Campground

Friendly staff, helpful, great 24' rv site

Staff assisted to guide us into our space. 25' travel trailer, full hookups. Lot 6, backs onto a little creek. Some old campers onsite that look to have overstayed due to condition. Nice to be at a non corporate campground, a few bruises, but overall great experience. Dog friendly, relaxed environment.

Hinsdale Campground At Thicket Hill Village

    Good Camp ground

Mostly seasonal with a back row for short term campers. Used by a lot of offroad bikes on weekends. Great swimming pool! Spent a week plus there and had no problems with the dirt bikes and loved the pool. All sites are full hookups with several primitive tent sites.

    Hidden Valley Campground

    Not too bad

Quick review on Hidden Valley RV Park/Campground —

Owner, I believe her name was Donna, was wonderful, welcoming & very accomodating! Pros: friendly staff, wknd campground activities to do if you’re looking for some socializing/mingling, a little pond for fishing, a pool, a bigger pond that had a little beach, quiet at quiet time (minus saturday night karaoke running a little late but it wasn’t like annoyingly loud), large campground, if you golf there’s a golf course, they have a restaurant & a nice little camp store, bathrooms were decent & free hot showers. Little swimming beach located on the grounds.

Cons: quite a bit of trash throughout the campground on the sides of sites, picnic tables were ready to fall apart, many of the tent sites had little to no separation without trees in between the sites (note-we asked for the most secluded tent site & was given a site that had a little separation), only one main bathhouse with porta potties spread out throughout campground.

Overall, a nice little spot to go camping.

Good Choice for Our First Camp

This campsite was great for a first time travel trailer owner like me. I do not have much to compare to yet but the grounds had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend.

    - Check-in was smooth as reservation was handled via an online format and validated by email and phone.

    - They offer military or Good Sam discounts which is always a plus!

    - Since we were there in early April the pool was not open but there was one on site. Shuffleboard was fun with the kids too. I did not see a playground and there was not a dedicated dog park if you are wondering.

    - Site size was adequate. Im guessing these sites will be considered "close" to "moderately close" by other site standards but it housed my 24ft trailer, truck, and my family just fine.

    - Roads are a little narrow which made backing in a little challenging. I had to use other sites to complete the back-in process. If those sites were occupied, that would have been real interesting. Perhaps it is me being a rookie with the trailer that added to the challenge, can't rule that out I suppose.

    - I did not interact with the staff much but the lady I did was nice and the tenants cruising by on carts were waving so that's a good thing.

    - Grounds bathroom/shower facilities were very nice for campground standards. Warm and clean!

    - Only negative was there was a little more road noise than I would like but that's a personal preference of course. There is also a train somewhat nearby which, again, is personal preference. I swear I felt a rumble in the trailer from the train but who knows....I was half-asleep :)

Overall, the grounds were well maintained. My family had a good time and I had the luxury of testing everything out on my new trailer with zero issues or difficulties.

It was a good trip, thanks Circle CG!
