Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Blue Diamond, NV

Our first time camping in Nevada, and first time camping for my son. It's only 40 mins away from us. We went there the weekend before my son's school starts as last hurrah. It was a great way to scape Vegas heat. It hits 64 Lows during early morning and up to 78 on daytime. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I got lucky getting a FF site #6. I went on Friday afternoon and came back Saturday morning to book it for two nights. Left early Sunday evening. 

Although most people has trailers and RVs, we had a 9 person tent and plenty of fun. The site we got was perfectly closed to the restroom which was a plus since my brother was on crutches. Site has 30A, 50A,110 Power. Water spigot was also just a step away from the site. There's a little creek on the side, but dried up for summer. Water might be on during rainy days or when snow melts. It's by the side of the highway so you will hear some loud cars time to time, but not too bothersome. It's very quite at night, except for the soothing cricket sounds.

We will be back for sure!

We have been coming here since 2003 in our 38’ Monaco Diplomat. By far, this is the nicest, SAFE campground in Las Vegas. It is pricey though but worth the money. All concrete pads with different levels of price..ie: closer to the pools, more expensive etc. Located in the south end of Vegas at I-15 and Blue Diamond Rd. Park landscape, restrooms and facilities are immaculate. Security is on 24/7 at the front entrance and all about thru the park. It is a “5” Star Park without a question. Too much to say about here other than give it a try. It is a resort and well worth the peace of mind.

This is a one night stay for us and a last minute idea! Was a little worried about finding somewhere for an RV and peoples reviews scared me. This KOA is right off the Highway with easy parking for all sizes, 15 minutes from Vegas strip and there is a casino right next to us too. Friendly staff at check-in, 2 security men patrolling at 1am when we got in. Dog park and dog relief area are small but clean. Showers and bathrooms are well lit and clean. Pool looked good but did not have a chance to get in. Friendly neighbors too. Would definitely come back again.

The staff were very friendly and had hours until 9pm. This was refreshing as we got a late start to our trip and arrived in around 8pm. Most campgrounds this would be considered after hours. Maintenance and security were always around the park and friendly. The campground has 2 dog parks. They were both fairy clean! Thankfully we got a back in spot with grass since we did have our dog. Most of the park is just gravel. Just a 5 minute walk across the parking garage to get to the casino if you choose to go to the one that is linked up with it. Would stay here again

First time living in 5th wheel 26 ft camper home. The staff is always helpful and mailroom lady helpful. The park always clean and security present always, plus they do rounds every hour and at dark the gate closed to one car entry with security officer to validate entry which as a single lady I prefer.  Clubhouse nice with tv games for families and pool has bbq station as heated pool with hot tub beside pool nice chairs to layout and also designed with seating around pool. I feel safe which if needed I have CCP for Vegas but don't feel need weapon in park but out in streets of Vegas always good idea. Covid has made homeless issues out in every area of Vegas but this park does great job as have not seen one homeless in Park. As everyone has to show Id at gate.. I have spent first month with no issues and two dog parks with grass parks close by within 1.5 miles.

Thousand Trails Las Vegas offers the convenience of being close to downtown and the Strip, but the immediate neighborhood leaves something to be desired.

The RV sites are extremely tight, often requiring neighbors to move vehicles to allow larger rigs to maneuver. Facilities are minimal, with the smallest bathrooms imaginable—there’s barely any legroom in the stalls, and the stoop outside the restroom is a tripping hazard (I fell and got bruised). Laundry is great.

While there is a dog park, the gate was broken upon arrival, only to be manually fixed by a fellow camper. Pool was closed until further notice.

Security is present with 24/7 gate monitoring, but enforcement felt lax when an unknown vehicle parked in front of our RV on Halloween night. Though the intruder eventually moved, it was unsettling that security didn’t intervene.

This park works as a quick city base but comes with several drawbacks.
