TravelerGreat First Come First Serve campground with clean bathroom, recycling facilities and bear boxes. Nice sites with fire pits and picnic tables. There’s trails throughout campground leading to the creek/ river. Stayed July 1-2. Showed up around 7pm and a few sites open still. We didn’t see any signs of bears but had spray and kept all food in bear boxes. No service. Close drive to reservoir and hiking trail across the street.
GuideLove this site! It was a bit rutted for the 50yds back into the site, but road getting to it was easy and smooth! Great fishing access! Stayed 8 nights, and only large issues we had were solar not having enough exposure (specific to our site) and same sort of issue for our Starlink.

GuideVery washboarded road to get up, we did not search further than the sign stating the camping point along the road. Camped at the first pull-off we saw. Quite a bit of traffic along this road, but still get a decent amount of privacy and views of the valley / Mammoth Hot Springs. We got in late, but I believe there are some more sites further down the road. At the spot we stayed I would say about two people could camp there.
As always, PLEASE clean up after yourselves. I always find too much trash at campsites, like I did at this one. Also, I noticed a bunch of old bathroom wipes, please come prepared for proper waste disposal.
GuideNice location along Madison River. Road noise as others have reported, but easily overcome with white noise of a fan or smart phone app. Lots of trees and nice views from river sites.

Campground: The campground is located in the not-so-charming outskirts of Bozeman. The campsites are close together but very tidy. The campground is bounded in part by a road and in part by the fenced hot springs facility and parking lot. Staff are friendly and efficient.
The campground bathrooms were the low point: They looked dingy and over-used — think public restroom at a beach or lake. Most of the grunge we noticed in the bathrooms in the late afternoon was still there in the mid-morning the following day. Meaning the cleaning crew doesn’t visit very often.
Hot springs: The hot springs are part of a popular health club. The busy facilities are modern and clean. There are outdoor pools, surrounded by hardscape, and indoor pools. If you’re happy shoulder to shoulder with a group of strangers in a warm swimming pool this place should please you. If you’re looking for more of a natural hot springs experience, perhaps some scenery while you steam, skip this one. Nice showers, toilets and locker rooms and for $15/person/day you can access the fitness facilities.
ScoutAs to be expected for a forest campsite. Family friendly, water available, clean pit toilets, and within walking distance to the lake for fishing. Was too cold for us to swim, but enjoyed fishing at the lake.

TravelerThis is NOT an overnight spot. We stayed one night and the park ranger stopped the following morning to let us know it was not a dispersed site. He was very friendly and invited us to visit the office and get a map of dispersed sites.
