Piney Grove Campground

I picked a location just off the Trace to camp and ended up here. Very nice lake side campgrounds. Quite clean beautiful relaxing weekend trip.

Great camping nice and clean. Next time I’ll bring the kayak and do some fishing!

This was our first camping trip as RV owners, we have been tent camping before. We loved Piney Grove! It was off season so definitely not crowded. It was so peaceful and quiet, we chose a waterfront spot and we literally had our own beach in front of our RV. So beautiful! We’ll be back in the summer.

Remember to bring everything you need it’s 10 miles or more to a town. Very nice camping with nice water views.

This is an awesome campground

I have AT&T cell phones and T-mobile cellular modem. Both have 4g lte with 3bars of signal strength. TV and Computer on T-mobile with minimal buffering on TV in site 50. No issues with Cell service with AT&T either, texting pictures/video without issues.

Quite little park that is way off the beaten path. Beautiful lake, clean sites, multiple boat launch. Great place to stay.

Absolutely love this place! It is less than 2.5 hours away making it a quick getaway location. Sites are well spaced. Several on the waterfront. Trees everywhere.

Level spot, fantaixk how it is set up. I camped with 3 other families and everyone gathered at 74 to hang out. A dock sits far away enough to allow your privacy but nice to walk with coffee. Sand bar beside dock where children played. Very shady with nice breeze off the river. Two dislikes were nats and lack of sewer hookup.

Slot 90. Pull through. Decently level. Good site for those with children.

We reserved a waterfront spot, but our rig wouldn’t fit despite the website saying so, no biggy though. Was able to swap spots and enjoyed our stay. Very nice park, nice beaches and great for walking pets. Most amenities were closed for the season/ COVID. Great staff. We had few bars (Verizon) and no service on t-mobile. Overall great experience, can’t go wrong with any spot.

Really nice campground on Bay Springs Lake. The majority of the sites have some view of water and the lakefront sites are plentiful. Sites 55-81 are not close to the water and have less shade. However, they are first come first serve instead of reservations. We stayed on site 124 and really liked that loop. Bathrooms are clean, but no AC, so they are a little muggy. I would recommend avoiding sites that back up to the basketball courts unless you have younger kids and are fine with the noise level. They appear to have upgraded the sites recently with fresh gravel and concrete borders, so that was very nice! . The lake is nice and clean with tons of coves. Lots of people using their kayaks as well as fishing boats and pontoons. It was neat to watch the barges go by. Next trip i want to watch one go through the locks! . Amenities: Fire pits, picnic tables, lantern post, grills, Bathrooms w/showers, laundry facility, multiple playgrounds and basketball courts, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, fishing pier, volleyball court, amphitheater, swim beach (seasonal).
