    Lost lake trail

We had one of the sites closest to the beach access which was very nice for us, but since we were there Labor Day weekend(my mistake lol) we had a lot of traffic come through our campsite. We tend to enjoy more peaceful stays with less crowding. The beach had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and was not crowded at all which made up for it. Highly recommend watching the sunset from the beach. We also loved the lost lake trail. The group camping area is shut down.

    Beautiful park

We loved this park and the atmosphere. So much room for all size campers, bathrooms and showers were clean and spacious. Beach access super close and plenty of roaming for our dog. Fire rings were the nicest we've seen and the park was kept clean and today, the rangers were on top of everything.

    Disappointed

I wanted to give this place a 5 star rating but unfortunately I’ve had a bad experience at this one. my first time camping with a group of friends at this campground we reserved 3 spots all close together to accommodate such a huge group having camped there for a little over 24hours was told by the park ranger to move my tent over to my side of the plot since my tent was crossing my groups plot boarder by a little bit in the middle of rain with 2 kids(under 5)in the tent to keep dry from the rain. park ranger couldn’t be lenient enough to wait for the rain to subside.knowing the park ranger usually make frequent rounds around the park they could have told me sooner if it was problem but they waited until it started to rain to tell me to move.

    Campers beware

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this campground. Despite driving six hours to get there and booking three sites, which were more than enough space for sharing, my friend and his family were forced to move their tent because it was slightly over the boundary—just a foot inside our site. This happened in the middle of the rain, with kids inside the tent, and despite our explanations, a ranger and three staff members insisted they move. Meanwhile, a nearby camper was allowed to stay despite having two tents and one camper on one site, which is against the rules. This discrepancy made us feel racially targeted and left a sour taste in our mouths. To top it off, the bathroom facilities were dirty, which only added to the negative experience. The lack of empathy and fairness was truly disheartening.

    Get a new park ranger

Terrible staff and communication.! Worse part is a power hungry ranger telling us to move our tent 2 inches away from our PAID campsite. What was worse is he told us when it was pouring outside while his kids was inside. Will not come to this campsite because of the ranger! Edit: we later found out that there was another campsite down the road that had 2 tents and 1 camper on 1 plot and they said nothing

    NOT BIG FAMILY FRIENDLY

We stayed for 2 nights drove 4 hours just to go here with our friends and family. We respectfully rented 3 sites for a group or 11 so we have enough spaces for our tents and be together. On the 2nd day it was pouring rain the ranger told us we are too close to each others campsite. Although we are together and paid we still had to move our tents just an inch away from each other in the rain he couldn’t even wait for us to wait for the rain to stop but no we had to move the whole set up in the rain. Worse experience at a campsite. I understand rules and policy but we were harming no one. DONT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A BIG GROUP. Definitely not family friendly. It completely ruins the experience for people when big groups come.

    Super Kid Friendly

We initially booked a site by the river, but once we saw the sites next to the playground, we knew we had to switch for our sanity and so our toddler could play. They were very accommodating with us and so friendly. There was so much for our 2 year old and 10 year old to do. We will definitely be back!

Private beach, best sunsets you’ll ever see

It was a nice campground. Nestled in nature, quiet, clean, WiFi only at the clubhouse. Private beach with a steep paved walkway accessible across the street. Absolutely the best sunsets over Lake Michigan! Friendly staff, Pool was clean, refreshing, and hot tub as well. Game room for the kids. Various outdoor games-usual horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball, small playground. Many, many, many speed bumps throughout. Firewood was wet. Other campers we talked to said it’s always wet, that they don’t buy it there. Spent $70 for weekend rate, I think it was $60? For weekday? Just for electric, water, no WiFi, 4 days. With all the campgrounds MI has to offer, this was a very nice campground, and would recommend it, but we personally look forward to exploring other options.

    Bertha Brock County Park

    A favorite spot

Bertha Brock is a great place for families. Brining our kids here from Grand Rapids is quick and easy. It is generally quiet, especially on non holiday weekends. Occasionally there is chopped firewood up front, you get a goof amount for your money. Relatively close to town if you need to purchase food or other gear. Bugs (mosquitoes) can get pretty bad, bring lots of bug spray! Near ionia state park with a nice beach for swimming or boating (no wake). Campground manager is very nice and helpful if needed.

    Nice campground

Not a bad place. Pretty quiet, other than the usual occasional idiot. Decent sites. ADA sites concrete, regular sites grass, sandy, or a combo of both. Pretty average spacing for a state park, except when a doofus parks sideways in a back-in site. (Wish the MI DNR would put a stop to that ). Typical MI state park sites, electric, fire ring and a picnic table. Most sites shaded, completely to some. Will return.

Any grocery shopping you'd want is within 2 to 5 miles. (Aldi, Meijer, Kroger) Fast food too, if you need it.

Verizon and T-Mobile service sucks here. No park wifi.

    Absolutely gorgeous

Other than the storm cutting the power and running water at the campground for over a day, we had an amazing time. This was the most beautiful campground I’ve been to thus far! The trails were also amazing. :)

    Campground

Campground and pool is nice. Owners are unapologetically rude to guests when there is any issues. Had a minor parking issue with a neighbor when I moved my vehicle onto their parking spot on sunday for 20 minutes because they weren't there all wkend and I was spraying weed killer. The neighbor showed up and complained at the club house. The owner came to my lot and started yelling at me about how i have no right to do that. I apologized while he was yelling at me and he slammed his buggie door and drove off. As soon as I moved my vehicles I went to that neighbor.to apologized and she said no big deal. I gave the owners a bad review on line and now I am being kicked out. How is that right?! I follow the rules and keep my lot clean. I don't deserve to be yelled at and treated in such a rude manner. IF you decide to camp there don't speak to the owners unless you have to... this has happened to other guests too. Many have moved to other places because of the way they talk to people.

    Tyler creek campground

Owner is rude and unapologetic for being so.

Poisonous plants and creatures are usually pretty to look at. So is tyler creek until you speak to the owners for any reason and then they are rude and venomous. If I were you I would spend my hard earned money somewhere else.

    Unorganized campground

So if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a nice atmosphere, and have friendly people that run the campground, don't camp here!! I've camped in this campground for 15 years. Until this past season trying to give the new owner the opportunity to make this campground awesome again but the owners are RUDE. They don't care how the campground is maintained from grass cutting(or lack of) to fire pits full to trash/litter on sites and moldy bathrooms, minimal operating toilets, power issues when hooking up to the outdated power system and to getting assigned a site that was not booked for due to over booking sites. Then there is the blatantly disrespect to the customer's who usually are supposed to be always right but the owner is straight out of New York which is loud and has rude comments about campers that they do not care for and they are not afraid of who hears it. I can go on and on about what the campground is and how campers who are there to relax and enjoy the atmosphere shouldn't have to worry about catching something from a bathroom visit. So just saying that this place is a campers beware!!

    Great Park By Water

Great dunes covered in dune grass, beautiful water next to the pier where we can got to go fishing. Great Michigan sunsets, clean bathrooms and nice fire pits. Big lake and inlet lake available. Bait machine was so fun for me, it being my first. Showers really nice and clean. Sites close together hence the 4 not 5 stars but ppl are nice so no big deal. Camp activities for kids, all around great camp grounds.

    Home away

This campground is a home away from home.  It’s beautifully situated in the middle of the state.  Ample boating, fishing swimming.  The facilities are great and they have a good truck on site.  We camp here at least twice a year.

    Dirty and loud

My family and I stayed over Labor Day weekend. The sites were so dirty and dusty as everything is dirt including the roads. It is also very loud and was not regulated. The camp store was very clean and well stocked. The bathrooms were okay, not very clean but not awful. All in all, we will not be returning.

    Excellent Hospitality

Stayed on pull through site, did require some leveling as driver side was considerably lower. Delivered firewood to your site. No TMobile cell service & limited TV reception. Dropped a set of keys and they mailed them back to me at no charge.

    Quiet summer getaway

Small lake with clean shallow beach, wooded sites, clean (but slightly dated) facilities led to fun times with grandkids. My site was a back in with not a lot of maneuvering room but even though some may feel these sites are small, we had plenty of space, very good water, and full hook up. I wish we had gravel verses dirt though, during the rain it gets a bit muddy . Would still visit here again if in the area. Very friendly staff and they had some weekend activities for the kids. Make sure you bring insect repellent!

    Terrific view of the lake

This campground appears to occupied by many of the manager's family and friends.  His campsite has a water view.  Our site was right next to the manager.  Noisiest campsite in the park.

The manager was nice and accommodating.  However their site generated a lot of noise well past quiet hours.  Our site was level and had a terrific view of the lake.  After seeing the restrooms and showers we chose to use our trailer only.  Most sites were level and shaded.  Dirt pads.  Water and electric only.  Additional fee for dumping.  Fire wood was reasonably priced.

We did not have internet nor cell service (Verizon/T-Mobile).  Few amenities
