Very tight

We were looking for a last minute campground after picking our RV up in town after repairs. Everything was already booked for miles. This campground had one space available for our 38ft 5th wheel. The road was very tight getting in to it. Sites were very close to each other. But it was the only thing available. I don't plan on returning.

Nice campground

Really enjoyed this campground. They had great fishing. We caught a lot of bass, bluegill, crappie and even a catfish. All catch and release. Lake is privately owned so no need for a fishing license. They have a Lot of sites around the lake, but the sites that run along US 31 can get quite noisy. The people that run the campground are extremely nice and very helpful. They had a really nice swimming area with a folding platform for the kids to jump off from. We will definitely be back.

Close to Michigan Adventure

Campground is adequate. Close to Michigan Adventure is the best quality. A fine beach, small spots, clean bathhouse, nice store, firewood and ice for sale. Very close to the highway. So there is a lot of road noise.

Love this place!

We are a family 6 and our children range in age from 7 to 15. The lake is perfect for boating, fishing and swimming.  We've really enjoyed our time here and how friendly everyone is😁 Seriously impressed with how clean the facilities are (showers/bathrooms). Its obvious the owners pride themselves on creating a fun, clean, family oriented camp experience. Great job Lake Schnepp-a-ho!

Great experience!!!

What a value! We stayed for two days while on our way on our trip around Lake Michigan. This was our first stop and I think we will have a tough time beating the value and experience. We stayed at a lake side site with water and electric. The site was a generous size and had a nice patio and firepit overlooking the lake. The lake was extremely clean and the beach was fantastic. Clear water, clean sand and a floating jumping trampoline for the kids. We were given passes for a free boat pass... They had kayaks, row boats, paddle boats and they were being used through out our stay. Unfortunately we did not have time to partake, but wish we had. The campground was very quiet at night with almost no one keeping their camper lights on which really made the evening relaxing by the fire. The only downside was that there is a major road along the camp ground, but it did not really distract from our stay. The owners were onsite at all times during our stay and they were very helpful and friendly before and during our stay. To top things off, they offer 40% off for Dyrt Pro members for your first stay, Sun-Thu and 10% for additional nights.

Quiet family camping

Beautiful campground we stayed site 72 backed up to the lake. Nice playground with private very clean beach. Jumping water trampoline for the kids. This water was so clear you can see to the bottom and the kids had a blast trying to catch the little fish. Weekend activities in the clubhouse for kids. Electric only sight but water and nice portable bathroom was right outside your door. Friendly staff! My only thing as a parent with a young child was my son lived in his life jacket due to fear of falling in. Not cat friendly.
