Nice sites close to home

Close to the house if I need a quick camping fix. Very clean restrooms and hot showers. The campsites on the hilltop used to be our favorite in the fall. They put cabins on them last year which for us is disappointing. Lots of trails throughout. Have even hiked in from the beach to camp for a…

Small and friendly

The smallest KOA we have been to but it was a nice change. The new owner helped us back into our site - he was very nice and enthusiastic. Pizza delivery on a rainy night was a nice touch. We will definitely come back when it is warm enough to swim in the lake!

Typical MI State Park

You get electric, period. Dump station available, potable water available there, as well as various spigots within the park. Beach ok but narrow. Firewood available, with free loaner wagons to get it to your site. I found the west side of the park a lot noisier than the east. The separate…

Best campground in the mitten!

I love lakeport! So peaceful and relaxing! We camped there 9 times in 2020 plan to do the same this year! Home away from home! Campsites along the water are the best with pathways to the beach! Bathrooms are always gleaming as well!!!

Nice campground.

Not a bad campground. We stayed in the south campground on site 32. The site was sloped as it is at the bottom of a hill. Had to use quite a few blocks to level our travel trailer. I would probably not use this spot again because of it. I did note the North campground is much flatter; however it…

Great Local Campground and Trails

Addison Oaks is a campground that features hiking and mountain biking trails, campground, cabins, disc golf course, and a lake for boating. The campground is RV and tent friendly and offers fire pits/ picnic tables. The trails are well maintained and heavily trafficked.

Words Cant Describe

This place is amazing! I have been faithfully coming here since I was a child. We had our annual camping trips usually around the end of June and again in the middle to end of September and I looked so forward to it and once got there never wanted to leave. Now my husband and I bring our son here…

Amazing place to hike but campground not included.

I absolutely adore Bald Mountain Recreation area! The trails are well maintained and well marked. There is also tons of clean, easy to access lakes within the park too. Perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, or fishing. Unfortunately there is not a camping area within the recreation area. There is…

We love this campground!

This is our favorite campground! On the smaller side but perfect for our small family. Playground for the kids, tons of activities on the weekend. Fishing is great! Beach is big and clean.

Friendly? Spacious lots of activities

We stayed in area A in a water/electric site. It was a Boo Fest weekend. Lots of socially distanced activities for the kids and a scavenger hunt (finding clues on signs in park to solve a mystery). There 26 miles of bike trails and hiking. Many in park are paved. Also a disc golf course. Sites in…

Not your typical Campgrounds

Drove by this campground all my life nearly and never had any interest to stay here. Extremely small, tightly crammed in 30 total sites with no additional amenities other than its economically priced for a full hook up, drive thru sites @$28 a night. Not a good place for family oriented activities…

Hidden lil local Gem

While doing research looking for those local places to get away and feel like we’ve gotten away from the rat race we came across this lil gem! Mostly seasonal campers but still sites available for those nightly / weekender campers. All sites are 50 amp full hook ups. The beach is right on the…
