Trees added shade throughout. The road was very close to the campground but I don't remember ever hearing road noise," reports Brenda L.

Check playground quality: Camp Turkeyville offers newer play equipment. "There is a volleyball pit, playground, and horseshoes. The 'fishing pond' is very small. There are showers and a camp store...everything looks updated recently," says Lydia T.
Consider swimming options: Crooked Lake Campground offers water recreation beyond the campground. "This area is great for paddling. You can start at Crooked Lake and follow a little water trail to Pickerel to swim at a small beach," shares Melissa B.
Review noise levels: Sound carries differently at each campground. At Crooked Lake, "Voices and noise carry quite a bit and there are lots of mosquitos," warns Melissa B., while Twin Mills is described as "a really beautiful and quiet RV Campground."

Trash service: Policies differ regarding waste disposal. Camp Turkeyville provides "daily trash pickup at campsite," while at Hidden Ridge, Beth H. notes, "I found it odd that there isn't trash pickup at the site. And the only trash bin we could find was at the entrance of the grounds."
