Hideaway RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Small and low-key, Hideaway RV Park sits outside Jackson, Michigan, close enough to town for errands but removed from the daily bustle. One caveat worth knowing upfront: expressway noise carries into the campground, which reviewers consistently flag as the main trade-off for an otherwise quiet setting. The park runs on a slower pace. It tends to work best for RVers who want to park, settle in, and stay put rather than use the site as a launch point for packed itineraries.

Sites are full-hookup across the board, with electric, water, and sewer connections and a 50-foot maximum length for RVs. Pull-through spots make arrival straightforward. Site surfaces vary, with some grass and some concrete pads, and reviewers note the spacing feels generous. "Very spacious sites, all of which are full hookups for a very reasonable price," notes Curt. A small pond on the property has a beach area and fishing access, and there is a playground on site. Pets are welcome.

Campers with younger kids have noted limited on-site activities beyond the pond and playground. The surrounding area fills that gap. Jackson-area lakes are numerous, and those exploring south-central Michigan can find campgrounds near Grass Lake or check out nearby options like Greenwood Acres Family Campground and Portage Lake Campground -- Waterloo Recreation Area for comparison. Reservations are available, and the owner accepts payment through Venmo. If a no-frills full-hookup stop with room to breathe suits your style, this one is worth a look.

Great 1st camping experience

This was our 1st ever camping trip and it was a delight. Pull thru spot, super easy to get to, full hookup. Spots had plenty of room, some had grass others had concrete. Quiet, very chill RV park, small beach on a pond for fishing playground for kids and plenty of room for our small dog. Linda (owner) was amazing, very helpful and easy to use venmo for payment and for firewood use. Overall a great experience , would definitely visit again. Plenty to do around town, lakes everywhere just have to choose which one to go to.

Small local place

Small yet mostly quiet local camp. It’s away from all of the daily hoopla but close to towns if you need things. Biggest downfall is the never ending traffic noise from the expressway.

This place is good for short getaways without a ton of kids and loud neighbors. For those that literally want to camp and enjoy the view of nature from their rv who aren’t looking for things to do every minute of every day.

Ok

First time we took our camper out. Got there. They couldn’t find our reservation so we had to wait for someone to leave. We got a spot over by the seasonal campers. We have pre teen kids and there wasn’t much to do. Great little get away but if you have kids there isn’t much to do
