Love it!!

Very accommodating, clean, private, spacious, clean bathrooms and playground area! Turned into my go to camp-ground and we stayed after the pool had closed for the season last year but we’re excited to go again this year!

New GO-TO campground!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Very accommodating, our family cabin tent is 21x17 feet so it’s tough to find a “tent” site level enough we don’t roll out the beds haha. Clean, private, spacious, well maintained bathrooms and playground area! This place has turned into my GO-TO camp-ground WITH MY KIDS and we stayed AFTER the…

Hidden Paradise!

We absolutely loved this little lean-to next to Bear Mountain. I'll make this review short, as we also stayed at the Brassie Brook lean-to which is located only about a mile apart from each other. The Brassie Brook was actually on the way to Riga and offers a very similar experience. Riga has the…

A refuge in the woods

We ended up stumbling on this campsite on our way to the Riga lean-to, which was a very happy surprise. We started our hike at the under-mountain trailhead, located right off route 41, and climbed up the mountain. Be prepared for steep inclines, and lots of rocks. After about a mile, you reach a…

Cranky old man

Great campground without internet, or a way to pay with your card. The host was so scared of my MEDICAL SERVICE DOG he made us leave. he seems to think he was mauled in another lifetime.

Get ready to walk!

Okay so. My friend and I were desperately looking for a place to spend the weekend, and with Covid making it a little more difficult to rely on walking in and finding a campsite, we made a blind reservation for site 8 on Grout pond. Here's what we wish we knew before hand:

Although BEAUTIFUL,…

Quaint riverside experience

My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much, we can't wait to return in a couple months. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They keep the place maintained well and very clean. We are tent campers so the number of RVs was overwhelming, but it was much quieter than expected. People were…

River campsites are the best!

This place was really nice, river site was 5 ft from the camper. The owners are very friendly. I would 100 percent stay here again.

A great spot for CT hiking!

We arrived at the parking lot of Onion Mountain Park at around 2 pm and proceeded to get our bags packed for the hike. I saw in the other review, that it is classified as a walk-in but it's definitely more of a hike. We ended up finding a very primitive spot off the blue trail (on top of the…
