Maurices Campground

Location on the lower Cape is excellent, approximately 1/2 way between Chatham and Provincetown (~ 30-40 min) good number of restaurants within 20 minutes, close to Nauset beach and Cape Cod National Seashore visitor center in Eastham. Very quiet in evenings and everyone we encountered (campers and staff) were friendly, we had no safety concerns. We stayed in a site with water, sewer and 30 amp electric, there is free WiFi. Sites are fairly close together and are mostly shaded. A large number of sites are seasonal and there are trailers that are well past their prime and appear not to have been moved (or used this season?) for some time with clutter and deck type set-ups. This is the biggest detractor of the campground imho. Bathroom and showers (free) were clean, shower stalls were on the small side but were fine for my wife and I. Campground has direct access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is well maintained for bike riding and walking/running. I understand from speaking with another camper that some changes may be coming to the campground which may hopefully lead to some updates that would elevate this campground from 3 to 4 or 5 stars. I would however stay here again were no changes to be made (location is great).
