Maryland’s beaches have long been a popular family vacation destination. Not far from the bustling Ocean City, campers can find restful fishing and swimming and beautiful ocean sunrises on Assateague Island, a 37-mile strip of sand and marsh where wild horses roam. Cecil County Permaculture

Come pitch your tent(s) or bring your camper/RV/van to the private, scenic farmette known as Prancing Deer. Enjoy herds of up to 25 deer at dawn and twilight, as well as foxes, eagles, turtles, frogs, fireflies, egrets, and an assortment of colorful birds. Located in Warwick, Maryland, the farm is about 10 minutes away from Middletown, Delaware where you can find shopping, dining, and events. Also the farm is a short driving distance to the Bohemia River and the Chesapeake Bay. A stay at Prancing Deer is ideal for people looking for a tranquil experience with little to no amenities, although we do have an electricity hook-up available (20 amp, 30 amp, 50 amp available). With 7.5 acres, you will have total privacy from the outside world.

Please note: The woods and adjacent properties are privately owned. Please do not trespass - stay within the field. If you use the light at the electricity station, please make sure it is turned off before you leave. This is an active feed grass field and a fire could put the crop in jeopardy. White Clay Creek State Park

Walking paths leading to the scenic Conowingo Creek make this private setting located in southern Lancaster County a perfect relaxing get away. The short walk will put you on the banks of ideal fishing or a refreshing dip in the beautiful waterway. Some experts claim that plopping a chair in the middle of the creek with a good book is the only way to go! Then, after an evening by the campfire and a cozy night of sleep, a short drive gives you access to the Susquehanna River where hiking, scenic overlooks and kayaking options abound. The area is surrounded by Amish farms and loads of country charm. Got an itch for a historic city experience, Lancaster City is a 30 minute drive north where the farmers' Central Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and surrounded by lots of quaint shopping. Recently added to Camp Conowingo Extras is the "Henry Hilton" which sleeps two and is an add on for larger groups or anyone who wants to take in the view, sleeping closer to the stars. The Space:
Spring is Knocking on the door at this private, picturesque setting in southern Lancaster County, PA where you can fish in the stocked creek, go for a stroll or sit and enjoy the abundant sounds of nature. 

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf. Other Things to Note:
Our goal is to provide everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay - just bring clothing and food. The bed is always clean and prepared for your arrival with linens to suit the season. We also supply plenty of dry firewood, because what would camping be without a fire! Nestled in among the habitat of a healthy deer population, please respect your shy neighbors. Parking pad is for vehicle parking, please use the available wagon located there and walk the short path back to your site. No smoking or vaping of any kind inside the tent. And children should always be accompanied by an adult when playing by the creek.

Woodlands Camping Resort

Huck and Buck Farm is a small working farm to all visitors. We currently have chickens, geese, ducks and turkeys on the farm. There’s a small pond out back stocked with a few sunfish and maybe a snapping turtle. We grow vegetable and our hens produce a variety of fresh eggs. There’s a open grill for cooking and fresh water outdoors. Outdoor compost toilet is available. We have installed an outdoor shower which is available to guests. If you would like to accompany us and get a close up look at our farm, morning chores are at sunrise and sundown.


Huck and Buck Farm

The newly-renovated campground offers sites with three-point hookups (water, electric and sewer), as well as four horse campsites without hookups. If you prefer a bed to a bedroll, stay in one of our yurts! These round stationary structures with canvas walls feature a single and double bed bunked together, a double bed-sized futon, an outdoor seating area, and outdoor deck.

Campgrounds at Cape Henlopen, Killens Pond, Lums Pond and Trap Pond State Park are open year-round. The Cottages at Indian River Marina are also open year-round, and the campground at Delaware Seashore State Park is open year-round, although during the winter months, it is open for self-contained units only.

The Division of Parks and Recreation has a Central Reservation Service. Although reservations are not required, we strongly recommend that you make one to ensure that accommodations are available. There is no additional expense to make a reservation.

Reservations can be placed for campgrounds, cabins, yurts, the Cottages at Indian River Marina, and Fort Delaware tours, and Killen's Pond Waterpark..

Lums Pond State Park

The Rustic Cabins are closed due to renovations. Disturbances associated with construction should be expected Monday-Friday in the Fall of 2023-​Fall 2025

Elk Neck State Park is located in Cecil County on a peninsula, formed by the Chesapeake Bay on the west and the Elk River on the east. It makes for great camping near Washington. The park has 2,370 acres of land and includes 250 campsites, 4 youth group sites and 15 cabins. Varied landscapes include marshlands, heavily wooded areas, white clay cliffs, and sandy shorelines.

Elk Neck State Park is divided into four areas. Turkey Point Lighthouse is located at the southern tip of the Elk Neck Peninsula. North East Beach Area and Picnic Shelters is a popular day-use area located in the western portion of the park and features a swimming area, canoe/kayak launch, picnic shelters, picnic tables, and grills. Rogues Harbor Boat Launch Facility offers public boating access to the Elk River, and fishing piers. The Elk River Camping Area is located on the eastern portion of the peninsula and offers over 250 campsites, 15 cabins (9 mini/camper cabins and 6 rustic cabins), a youth group camping area, park store, playground, and a nature center.

Elk Neck State Park

The Loose Caboose Campground is a 26-acre campground located in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We are a Second-Generation, Veteran, Family Owned and Operated Campground in the heart of PA Amish Country. Proudly serving Overnight and Weekly Campers for over 35 years. The campground is well-known for its large, secluded wooded sites, yet has the distinction of being located just minutes away from many popular tourist destinations (See “Nearby Attractions”) and special area events (i.e. [Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine](<https://www.strasburgrailroad.com/ride/events/day-out-with-thomas/>), [Annual Rough and Tumble Thresherman’s Reunion](<https://roughandtumble.org/>), Bird-in-Hand Community Days, etc.). We have just over 70 beautiful sites, the majority of which offer full hookup utilities. Many of our sites are even open all year round. We are able to accommodate most campers’ needs - having spaces available for everything ranging in size from smaller primitive tent campsites to the largest Big Rigs and Park Model vacation homes. Our heated Bathhouse offers free hot showers and is open to patrons all year round. Limited on-site services (available upon request) include: minor RV repair and troubleshooting, trailer leveling and blocking, winterization and local trailer transport. We are also a children and pet friendly campground. Please contact us directly to inquire about our Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts camping programs for your local Den/Troop activity needs.
