Perfect Retreat

Beautiful grounds, well kept, plenty of space between sites. The spots on the water get a bit of the lake breeze. Got cell service in site 69. Wifi at the common areas. Clean showers. Dish washing stations. Kind staff!

Quant with awesome views

This is a great quant campground. It was built back in the 50’s but there are plenty of sites for those of us with large campers. The sites are right on the lake with gorgeous views. Some sites even have their own pier to sit out on and fish or swim from or simply watch nature. They rent kayaks and…

Quiet campground, on beautiful golf course.

Rick (the owner) is very accommodating, plenty of full hookuo sites and also another section with just W/E.

Halloween!

This visit we had our hybrid camper in one of the wooded sites. The Halloween celebration is really well done- campers decorate their sites, there is an in-costume parade, and the central, bigger rigs are set up for trick or treating. The haunted house is scary enough that I waited by the exit!…

Great spot, great hosts

Kid and pet friendly. Lots of activities for kids including a flashlight candy hunt, water slide, and s’more roast. We’ve been coming back for years and the addition of a glamping tent, cabins, and domes have made it even nicer!

Yay Fryeburg!

Great camping spot with wonderful sites with water views. Nicely spaced out which I find important. Clean, friendly caretakers and close to town for quick last minute needs.

Flagstaff is so gorgeous

Our site was directly on flagstaff so we had an excellent view! Great swimming and playground. Clean bathrooms which is also a plus. Extremely friendly staff. And as a bonus you're maybe 20 miles from Canada! We go every year!

Just O.k.

If you want to visit the Phippsburg area of Maine, your camping options are pretty limited. We chose Meadowbrook Camping Area for the simple fact we wanted to explore that particular area of Maine. The campground has a mix of sites from tent sites tucked away in the woods to large RV sites in the…

Good Location, Clean, Lots of Camping Options

I have a love– hate relationship with KOA campgrounds. They tend to be overpriced and not consistent. You will find one that has nice sites at a decent price. Then, there are the others which are complete opposite. This KOA is on my good side.  There are lots of site choices, cabins, yurts, and…

  • Nice, long pull thrus that are buddy sites.
  • Pizza oven and café.
  • Some sites are very open with lots of space.

Moo

It was fun to feed cows and walk goats. Cute farm. Ok playground, large field for pickup style games. Sites are small and not well divided. I had neighbors complain that we were on their side of the post, owners family/staff came to say that no we were fine. No sandy beach, but it's Maine after…

Birthday Bliss!

Was my first camping trip in a long time. This place is great and so special. We stayed for 4th of July weekend (my birthday) and even though the place was fully booked we still felt like we had the place to ourselves Most of the prime sites are nice and spread out a little from one another …

Loved it!

We visited twice—early August and the end of September. We tented both times. Our grandchildren loved the milking barn (they eat Stonyfield yogurt), the chickens and the trees (they had only camped in fields before). In September, we were the only tenters and were there for 60mph wind storm…

Overrated

Pictures are deceiving! My two teenagers and I booked site 810 in the west bay for my birthday and we were incredibly disappointed. I’ll skip most of the complaints about the site and staff, and say this site works best of you have a small camper and/or don’t mind not having ANY privacy.

We…

Woods, ocean and farm

This is a beautiful campground for those that love natural settings. Lot's of wooded campsites for tents or RVs. I'm guessing 80% of the sites are for tents, pop ups and small trailers. The overall campground is huge with lot's of open farm fields. Plenty of activities available but it's not a…

What an incredible campground! Very quiet, at least in Sept. Very, very clean. Our huge site on the water was raked clean before we arrived. I said "huge", other campgrounds would have made 3 sites from the one we had. Access to Flagstaff lake is part of the campground with a boat launch/beach.…
