Noisy and crowded

The campground is beautifully maintained and clean, with lots of pride of ownership. Nearly all sites are occupied with seasonals, right on top of each other. So it's like camping in a small city with a few trees overhead. The sites are close enough to hear every word of every conversation and…

Hearts Location

This is our yearly off the grid no distractions go to spot. Nothing but the great outdoors. I came her when I was a kid and now I am able to bring my children. The scenic location is breathtaking and the variety of hiking trails around are great. There is no rec hall, arcade or pool so the kids are…

Solid Basics

This mini loop has pretty large sites with some privacy. I only parked there for one night. While the board says you need reservations, they also do first come first served. You just leave your payment in an envelope by the board and pick a site that isn’t taken. Bathrooms are as basic as they…

Hearts location

I have been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. We come 2 times a year and it is our go to spot. The scenic location is amazing and the variety of hiking trails around are great. We enjoy staying in the pet friendly yurt and also enjoying the tent sites as well. I love that there…

Wish we stayed longer

Decided to give this campground a shot based off of pictures of the lake. We were not deceived! The lake water is crystal clear (and warmer than expected). The campsite was perfectly fine for our pop up, with room to spare. Quiet, with a nice field for the kids to get some energy out in the…

  • Overview of campsite. A bit of a downhill angle to the site, but nothing that couldn't be worked out.

Happy Campers

First time staying here! Nice campground. Close to the main road but not too noisy. There are train tracks on the property but no trains went thru this weekend. Beautiful walking path right by the river!

Good clean camping fun

The bathroom was super clean and there was plenty of wood around for fire making. Also gorgeous hiking trails at the back of the camp ground. Grass or wooded sites available. Pool and playground!

My new favorite!

We spent a weekend here and we loved it! Our site was spacious and backed up to a little ravine so it was fairly private even though it was right next to the bathrooms (also convenient). We weren’t far from a hand pump water spigot, either. The host was friendly and attentive and made rounds…

A restful blend of beach and spruce

Last weekend, our family stayed at White Lake State Park for four days. While initially drawn to the campground because of its proximity to Chocorua, one of the most rewarding hikes in the Whites, we barely left the campground. We spend our days enjoying the park's pleasant beach and clear water.

  • Lots of hammock opportunities!
  • Level campsites equipped with fire rings and nice picnic tables
  • "Camp clean" bathrooms -- a little grimy but not gross

Quick stop spot

We stopped here quickly on a road trip... good thing we didn’t need to stay. Campground is sandwiched between a railroad track and highway. Don’t expect a nice quiet nights sleep! Train came trough twice through the night.

Bathrooms weren’t really clean but usable. Had a pool to cool off…

Great Family Campground

Every summer, we would take the kids camping for a week at White Lake State Park and we all loved it. There’s a great beach with lots of room and a big Sandy swimming area. You can rent canoes, hike around the lake, and the kids could safely ride their bikes around the campground. There is a…

Wooded and quiet

We loved Moose Brook State Park Campground. There are many wooded sites and lots of very private ones too. Some sites rim a grassy field. There’s a newer bathroom with hot water, showers, and a dishwashing station. And the location is perfect for hiking the Randolph Trails or Appalachia.

Second stay

We tented for two nights mid-week in 2020 and booked the cabin for Memorial Day weekend 2021. I thought we might like it less completely booked but that wasn't the case. The owners are quality people, the seasonal folks are super nice, the facilities are lovely. The weather was cold and rainy but…
