This is the site of a decommissioned Atlas F Missile Silo which was abandoned by the Air Force in the 60's.

You will receive a historical tour of the Missile Base property and the underground Launch Control Center with a tunnel that leads to the 186 ft deep Missile Silo. (This is a construction zone, as the bunker is being renovated into an underground home. Be prepared to sign liability waivers.)

Located in the Smokey Hills of Kansas, you will be camping in beautiful fields with great views of a 250 MW windfarm.

Hike over a mile of trails on the property and pick out your own camp spot.

Join other guests at the top of the Missile Silo for a campfire at night and enjoy stargazing.

Just mins away from the local tavern and restaurants in Wilson.

Nearby is Lake Wilson, one of the largest and cleanest lakes in the State, there are water sports and Epic rated mountain biking trails.

Just to let you know this is a primitive Campground. The outhouse has a composting bucket toilet.

Hayland Farms is a hay meadow comprised of 120 acres of pristine native grass with dotted groves of trees spaced throughout and a 40-acre alfalfa patch. Hayland Farms promotes an annual Aircraft Fly-In and Chuckwagon dinner during the fall. Visit www.haylandfarms.com for complete details.

In addition to the annual Fly-In and Chuckwagon dinner, seasonal camping is permitted at the camp site. Although normal use is for tents and smaller and mid-sized campers, larger RV’s are allowed if prior arrangements are made and conditions permit.

This KOA is midway between St. Louis, Denver, the Black Hills, and Texas. You'll have easy access to I-70 as well as I-135 to Wichita. Located in a shady meadow northwest of Salina, you can relax in a lawn chair while fishing in the private pond. Swim in the pool, play horseshoes, enjoy the Jump pad, watch the kids go for a train ride, or rent a bike. All sites are pull-thru with free Wi-Fi and cable available on most. At Salina, spend more than one day seeing the area's historic sites. Visit Abilene (about 25 miles E), known as the boyhood home of President Dwight Eisenhower. Check out the museum chronicling Ike's achievements at the Eisenhower Center. Visit Lindsborg, Kansas' Little Sweden (S of the campground). Stop at Rolling Hills Zoo (6 miles W on I-70). Milford Lake is the state's largest lake at over 15,000 surface acres. Every year, this lake draws hundreds of thousands of visitors who come for boating, fishing, and relaxing on Milford Lake's shores. Among the lake's 163 miles of shoreline, visitors will find sandy beaches perfect for swimming  and enjoying the cool water during a hot summer or launching canoes, kayaks and other personal watercraft. There are 14 public boat launches around the lake for launching larger sailboats, fishing boats, or pleasure boats.

If you're coming to Lake Milford, be sure to pack a fishing rod. One of the most popular activities at the lake is fishing. The most popular gamefish include Wipers, Walleye, Crappie, Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted Bass, Blue and Channel Catfish, and White bass. Whether you're an experienced angler of a complete beginner, you'll catch your limit at Milford Lake. Multiple state records have been pulled from it's waters.
