    Peaceful and serene

The owners are very nice and keep up the grounds well. Our spot, like all around us was very long and nice, wide space between campers. We camped with a 38 foot travel trailer and a 20 foot Ford F250, and still had room(about the size of a golf cart). Very peaceful and serene camping out on their farm land. Most our neighbors were contract workers, so staying monthly. You can see some long term RVs in the wooded area nearby. They also provide storage so you do see RVs parked around the perimeter. We didn't use the bathhouse at all, so cannot comment on it. We had 50 amp with water and sewer at every site. Gravel drive and sites, with grass in between. Each space has their own garbage can and picnic table. Everyone we met was very nice. If you want privacy and space for a good rate, this is the place. It's close to many amenities, so location was good for us too. If it bothers you to see long term campers with their plants and gardens, etc. then look else where. Long term campers don't bother us. So we would definitely stay again.

    Large very nicely maintained KOA

Very large KOA. They have all different types of sites. Pull through back in. Super deluxe, deluxe, full hook ups etc. Love the pool if you have kids this would be a place to stay for a few days. We ordered pizza for dinner they deliver to the site which is nice. Ice cream available a lot of flavors and real ice cream not just soft serve. One of yhe nicer KOAs we stayed in.

    Good Location

We stayed here for 3 nights with a 33 ft. 5th wheel.  We had 50 amp/water and sewer. We attended 2 concerts at Ruoff Music Center.  Campground was clean and quiet, although needed to be mowed.  Sites are gravel and fairly level with a firepit and picnic table.  Not much shade at the sites and there are several long term campers.  Owner was very nice and helpful.

This is a great option for concert goers.  It was literally 10 minutes from the venue/Noblesville.

    Surprisingly pleasant!

This was our second stay here…campground is surrounded by corn fields but park itself is quite picturesque with mature trees, a lake, and very well-manicured grounds. Many sites have long-term occupants but overnighters just as welcome. Main bathrooms are up front and clean and modern while rustic but quite nice enough toilets located at back end. A small pool, mini-golf and recreation center also on site. Owners are nice people who go extra mile to provide a friendly, family atmosphere for residents.

    Not a bad location

This campground is huge. They are family owned and at first glance seem a little dingy or that they have a lack of care but this is not the case. They are very laid back and allow their campers to enjoy their experience as they wish to enjoy it whether that is long term or short term. They do have certain rules like every other campground but as long as you bide by those rules it's a very relaxed environment with very friendly staff and campers. If you are looking for a clean polished luxury campground, this is not the campground for you. But we like a little dirt so it suits us just fine.

    White River Campground

    Quick getaway

Nice camp ground along the white river with several sites along the waterway. Clean, well maintained, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Paved road with level concrete sites, could be a little more spacious, but all n all laid out nicely with aluminum picnic tables, and fire ring, 50 and 30 amp hook ups along with H20, and several full hook ups. Tent camping also available. Well stocked camp store. The facilities up front by the office are very clean and have showers with hot water. They could use a bench in the shower stall for your clothing and a space To get dressed discreetly. The facility at the end of the campground dosent have showers and are adequate but not quite as nice. Campground is in a good location close to many amenities

    Heritage Farm Alpaca Experience

    A truly wonderful experience!

I learned of this place through the Dyrt (thank you!) and knew I wanted to stay here! There are several options available: tent camping (including a tree tent!), RV camping (two with electric hookups), and a 170-year-old log cabin. If you are RV camping, there are two very clean, private, and fully stocked "outhouses" (see photo below)

We originally planned to camp in our van but with below-freezing temperatures and a forecasted snowstorm, we decided to take refuge in the log cabin. To call this a log cabin is a disservice; yes, it is made from logs(and is 170 years old) but I was expecting a tiny one-room cabin; instead it is a two-story cozy home that can sleep up to six people, all in one upstairs room (two full-size beds and two twin beds; would be great for families). It was cozy and warm, heated by a gas stove. The bathroom (with a shower) is accessed from just outside the back door but is heated. The kitchen is an outdoor grill and picnic table, but we did not use this.

Tim and Beth were very welcoming, as was Juno, their dog. We enjoyed helping to feed the Alpacas– they have over 50. The rooster crowed gustily at dawn (but dawn was after 7 am and we were already awake). Also on the farm is Stormy, the horse, chickens, and some barn cats. There is a shop that sells goods made from Alpaca wool and we made sure to visit before departing.

Staying here was truly special and we hope to return to camp in one of the RV spots or the tree tent in the future.

Great spot for weekend getaway and deer creek concerts!

Lisa and Brent have created a perfect spot to relax for a weekend getaway and enjoy the shows at both the campground and at deer creek. RV sites are full hookup and very level. Lake at the campground is great to float around in on a hot summer day. We enjoyed the bus ride both days to see Dave Matthews Band.

    Heritage Farm Alpaca Experience

    Friendly alpaca farm

We enjoyed staying at the alpaca farm overall. We were the only RV parked right in front of the red barn. There were two toilet outhouses nearby that we could use. And it was nice waking up to the alpacas. Unfortunately the owners weren’t able to do the pizza or farm fresh eggs for our visit. The one area of improvement I would recommend is the check in process/booking. Booking the reservation required a few more steps than ideal, but overall we were glad to stay in a cool area. Also, if you’re looking for a place to eat- about 22 minutes away is Hog Heaven which we thought was a cute hole in the wall restaurant with really friendly staff. Tell Lisa, the manager, we sent you! She reminded us of what an old fashioned waitress used to be- friendly and attentive!

    Nice

Very nice campground. There are some spots with full hookups. Most are electric only. There are also quite a few spots that are full though so for bigger rigs that is really nice. Down side is if you don’t haul with water you better fill up at the full station when you see it cuz it gets busy. and when you are leaving there are 3 dump stations and it can get really really busy and long waits.

    Mounds State Park Campground

    Nice Campground

Mounds is a lovely state park, and the campground is nice, but certainly not one of my favorites. I would return for a weekend excursion, but probably not for an extended stay. Campground was a bit loud due to proximity to the airport. We came right after a big rain and a lot of the sites were flooded out. There was also a raccoon bothering us most of the night. He was really bold! We named him Harold. We also stayed during the off-season, so I can’t attest to the restrooms. Pit toilets were fine as far as pit toilets go. And the sites were wide and open with good fire rings and cooking grates. There was a few options to connect up to a trail, and the park is small enough we were able to see most of it in a day. Would definitely recommend coming here if you prefer RV camping, or just want to get away for a weekend, but I’m a bigger fan of primitive sites more tucked away. All of Mounds sites are electric.

    Memorial Day Weekend 2022

Keep in mind it was Memorial Day weekend. Hancock County had 2" of rain on Friday. The campground (lower) sits at a low elevation. Our site was 70% flooded. Fortunately we have two entrance doors. Staff was friendly all weekend. There are essentially 3 phases to the campground. We were on the creek side. Honestly if you have a big rig or large TT don't go to that side. Ask for on the hill and backed up to the fun park. When you call to make a reservation, they won't give you a site # until you arrive. Bathrooms were decent size, but most of the time nasty. Miniature golf was free, pool was a little green (but we had a lot of rain). Stocked pond. Good bands throughout the weekend. The hill offered more space and had updated facilities, small market, grill, ice cream. The family fun area does cost extra. We were on site 86, 50 amp service, but when everyone started turning on their AC, my surge protector kept kicking due to voltage swings. We were on an electric + water site. The dump station on creek side were not functioning and we had to have our tanks pumped. Camp sites were tight. Majority were seasonals. If we come back in the future will be on a full hookup on the hill. Close enough to get to IMS. Happy Camping!

    White River Campground

    Clean, County Owned Park

White River Campground is a county owned park within 15 minutes small town Indiana (Cicero) complete with a small town grocery and dollar general. Within 20 minutes or Walmart and Grocery stores. Campground is divided up into A-B-C sections. A is accessible. B is full hookup with sewer and C is water/elec only and tent camping. Park next door is great for hiking, has walk bridge over river to trails, horse backing riding, high ropes course. Campground is on the white river, offers boat launching. Bathrooms are decent. Playground is newly remodeled. Laundry onsite, wood for sale, and some wifi. We found the wifi only reaches in sections A-B even though it’s advertised as reaching the entire camp. Camp office and IT support were no help.

Nice state campground with full hookups!

We stay mid-week as we are retired. Full hookup site were $30 a night. Sites seem large and well maintained. All the staff that we interacted with were very friendly. We kayaked the reservoir, used the beach and fished. Finally, we hauled our bikes to the reservoir overlook and then rode them over the dam. A very relaxing trip. T- mobile cell service was 1 bar, however we had our T-mobile internet tower and got 3 bars. Slow speeds but we could still stream tv.

    Good campgrounds for boating!

If you want woodsy, private sites, don’t come here. Most are grassy and sunny. There are many areas where the sites back up close to each other. 2 rows of full hookup. Plenty of 50 amp and many good tent sites. Beach in the park but not walking distance. Great mooring area for campers. Don’t try to pull-thru in any sites that are back-in. DNR will come around repeatedly and ask you to turn around...after you are already set up. Disc golf, trails, store near the beach, cabin rentals.

    Muncie RV Resort

Solid choice -- Near Mounds state park, city of Anderson, and I-69

I stayed with full hookups, but no cable (don't need it, so don't know if it's available) and we weren't close enough to connect to the WIFI (only close enough to occasionally see 1 bar pop up).

Friendly folks, catch and release fishing pond, and a pond with beach for swimming. Good size playground, jump pad, and off-leash"dog park" available as well.

On AT&T, I typically had 2 bars and no problem streaming music or browsing Facebook. My fellow travelers, on Sprint, said they had poor reception. I'm guessing 1 bar.

Worth noting that my wife said the water pressure in the shower house was fairly low. (I shower in the camper, so can't comment.) Water pressure was fine at our site, though. Also worth noting that many of the back-in sites can be pull-through if you get there when it's not busy.

    A little needed rest.

Kil-so-qauh, used to be a little hidden gem right outside of town but has turned into quite a popular place, but for good reason. The campground accommodates both luxury rv campers and more rustic private tent or hammock goers like myself. Entering the camping area there is a lush grass opening with large campsites with water and electric hook ups for the RV folk. There are also 2 nice play grounds in this area as well. Continuing down the road you begin to enter the woods which is non electric sites with plenty of trees to make your weekend private and to the right is an overlook of Roush Lake where you can watxh the sunset set the water on fire. There are no fantastic bathrooms just pit toilets but easy get away is worth it.

*I've camped here every season but if you dont like crowds, make sure to avoid the summer holidays.

    Decent site for amphitheater camping

I stayed here in June and it was a pretty nice place. Several spots for tent camping, but several electric hookups were not functional. Bathrooms were not impeccable, but they were fairly updated. The only real problem we encountered was the dirt road through the site was difficult to navigate, even though it hadn’t rained for a few days. Just a lot of wear and tear. But super friendly campground, and will definitely return!

    Excellent option

Right in the center of Ft Wayne, IN is Johnny Appleseed Park and its accompanying campground. For $24, we got a day of drive in spot with electrical + water hook-ups and wifi. Short but fun stay

Campsites have a gravel parking pad, picnic table, fire-ring, electrical hookups, and thick health grass which is awesome if you're staying in a tent! The have public wifi that isn't really working that often. There was a truck delivering firewood making rounds through the campground which was very convenient. Stuff to do - disc golf, beach, beach volleyball, hiking & biking trails, boating/fishing. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay here for long, so we're planning on coming back soon.
