Prairie Creek Reservoir's municipal campground operates under the City of Muncie, offering both primitive and full-hookup sites along the water's edge. The park provides electric, water, and sewer connections for RVs, plus access to drinking water, restrooms, and shower facilities throughout the grounds.
Sites cluster relatively close together, with both drive-in and walk-in options available near the creek. Sharon T. notes the park maintains high cleanliness standards, with "sheriff's department cruised through every night" providing regular security patrols. The campground draws local boaters and anglers who use Prairie Creek Reservoir for fishing and water activities.
Campers can access a dump station on-site, and the park allows both campfires and pets. The facility operates seasonally, typically closing for winter months around late October. Rates vary significantly based on site type and season, ranging from basic primitive spots to full-hookup accommodations.
The drive-in location sits away from main highways, creating distance from road noise while maintaining easy vehicle access. For additional camping choices in the region, campers can explore campgrounds just outside Selma. The park works well for RV travelers needing full utilities and tent campers comfortable with closer site spacing.
