Water Level Alert (6/11/2025): The beach is closed to swimming until further notice due to the water level. Boaters should watch for floating debris and avoid shoreline areas. Water levels at Mississinewa Lake are managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District. Current data on the water level can be found here. Campgrounds, trails, the disc golf course and other facilities remain OPEN. For updates please check back here or on the Mississinewa Lake Facebook page.

Description

All facilities are open May 15th. Beach opens Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day weekend.No lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk from dawn to dusk (sunrise to sunset). Lake is at normal operating condition and all facilies open by 3rd weekend in May. Normal pool is 737 and Winter pool is 712. Winter draw down begins the beginning of October and is complete by December 1st. All ramps will be closed through winter except Red Bridge. Summer Pool resoration date is by May 1st.

Directions

From the Northeast: SR 13 S. to CR 700 S. Go west on 700 S. Take a left at CR 550 E to CR 500 S. Turn left and head east to CR 625 E. and turn left to entrance. From the Southeast: SR 13 N. to CR 700 N. Turn left at Y in road, taking the right fork. Turn north on New Slocum Trail and go approximately 5 miles to the next Y. Take the right fork of Y (550 E.) to 500 S. Turn right and go 3/4 mile to CR. 625 E. Turn left to entrance.
