Wedding weekend

Stayed here for a weekend when our daughter got married. We had a great time. The campground was full but quite. The spots are far apart. Very clean grounds and amenities. Close to the lake. They have canoes, and Jon boats for rent.

A truly hidden paradise

They have many activities, but we were stopping just for the night. It was a campground I would definitely go back to.

Great weekend in Brown County

Stayed in the Taylor Ridge Campground at Brown County State Park. We had great weather and a great time. We have visited Nashville Indiana several times but this is our first time camping nearby. My wife loves to visit Nashville and all the little shops they offer. The park offers great trails and…

Nice campground, our first time camping with our Travel Trailer

My wife our dogs and were at site 207 from 05/14/21- 05/16/21 camping in a Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108 TB. We had reservations at this campground prior to purchasing our travel trailer so we camped in a primitive, the roads were pretty tight getting the trailer back to our reserved site. The…

First time; won’t be the last!

First time at Starve Hollow. Camped with a group of the family. Impressed with the showers and bathrooms, and cannot get over the large amount of shade trees! Was able to take the dogs and ourselves for a few hikes, the bait shop was a wonderful bonus. Only negative of the whole trip was the blue…

Very nice campground. Friendly staff and lots of activities

Styed here with the grandkids and we all had a great time. Nice playgrounds and a pool with lots of water features for the kids. (Not really an adult's pool, but that's ok by me) They loved petting and feeding the horses. Campsites were large. We even had an ice cream and watched a movie in the…

  • Playing in the back of the truck. Everything's fun when you camp.

Nice camping on the river

We stayed in site 107 on a Sunday night and had the section all to ourselves. I think the place is quite busy on weekends though. Our son fished and we watched random people float down river. It was perfect for overnight stay passing through. I was concerned driving in as neighborhood looked a…

Not nice

We tried to camp here one night on a trip along 70 and we got there pretty late so we were driving around trying to orient ourselves and essentially found that there were no spots. We were trying to turn around and get out but it’s like a maze in there. Which is not a diss on this campground. That…

No longer Westward Ho.

I stayed at this area before it was renamed to Friends O' Mine. Was a nice place for a quick stop but being so close to the highway, was extremely loud. Half of the sites have shade and half do not. Cute little pond to walk around but I wouldn't recommend swimming.

Solid Midwest backpacking

The fire tower is the trail head for a hiking only loop called the sycamore trail. It’s not very long but follows a small creek and has some elevation changes
