Nice little campground by a lake

Small campground only about 10 sites. Nice clean restrooms with flush toilets. Perched on the side of a hill with limited flat space. Tight loop, not good for larger rigs. It was fun seeing free range cattle roam through in the evening.

Simple, Convenient & Serene

I've been camping at Fairview Campground on the Kern for over 15 years and look forward to it every year.   The prices are fair, it's right on the river and is the perfect starting point for floating.  It is also directly next to McNally's restaurant, which has been such a blessing after some long…

Classic Camping

What I love about Hume is the classic vibe. There is a little burger/shake shack by a lake with recreational activities. The weather is nice and elevation provides beautiful star gazing.

Great Swimming Hole

This campground is sort if basic. It is very close to town as its the first campground in the Sequoia Park. The swimming hole is unmatched, complete with rope swing. Very accessible and even bear sightings. Trails and lots of shade.

Basic camping with close supplies

Overall, love the campiste and yes its true there isnt much in regards to having trees or a scenic view. However, we were able to camp so close to the river and wasn't bad in regards to pulling you in or anything. Must admit i loved it and so did my fiance. We wanted the camping 🏕 experience but…

Chill weekend

Very impressed by the Princess grounds. Restrooms were well maintained, the camp host were friendly and informative. I was hesitant to go camping, being that the last time I camped (7+) years ago I had a very bad experience. But I have to say this campground definitely changed my perspective. Lake…

Much improved

We had a wonderful time. We had camped here about 10-15 years ago and found the park to be a bit dusty, dry, and run down. This time it was very green, very shady, and well kept. The host was very nice and friendly. There is a small convenience store with all the last minute essentials. There are a…

Decent Spot to Camp on your way into the Sequioas National Park

There’s a river all the kids love to play in. Water moves slowly but it’s not necessarily ‘clean’ although none of the kids mind. Pool is a little murky but full of people. There’s a resident teenage bear named Horse that comes around and they also warn you about snakes. We had a few issues with…

Right in the king river

If you have a long fifth wheel or RV this place is perfect pull through parking full hook up. The front desk lady is so nice he has a small store there for incidentals that you might’ve forgot. Clean quiet. Great family place

One night stop over off the 99

We stayed here on a Monday night and it was peaceful. The staff was friendly. Frank even came by to check on us. Spots are wide and clean. Our spot had some shade. The spots on either side of us had a bit more. It was buggy and hot but it was august!

Forgot to mention they are working on a…

Gorgeous stay

The entire grounds are beautiful, but if you can stay by the river, you should! Recommend getting a site not directly by the bathrooms because they are vault toilets and the smell tends to drift. No showers or running water, but silver city resort is right down the road and has showers, food, and…

Sequoia exploration

Nice spot, easy to get on the bus to explore the park and there’s a camp store. Heads up though- showers are closed (as of July 2021). Flush toilets and drinking water.

Awesome campground

So first off I want to say HOW CLEAN THE GROUNDS WHERE. The bathrooms where super clean at all times, however, in the morning the restrooms smelled god awful. I’m guessing they put something in there when they clean to deodorize them, come morning I wouldn’t advise using it. That is not anyone’s…
