Best RV Parks & Resorts near Occidental, CA

Close to the ocean at Jenner. Campground is next to the Russian River. Family activities and games for kids (playground, volleyball). Some shaded site, a mix of sunny locations and partial shade. Full RV hook ups and tent sites. River access for swimming & boating. No sandy beach.

Small campground in the redwoods along the river.  Connects to the estuary and then you are at the ocean. Path to the beach takes yo under the highway.  Also hiking across the road is a park with a small visitor center.

County park so it is well maintained and frankly I have never seen it packed.  Even when not camping there I always stop at the picnic area for a hike to the ocean and a secluded beach.

There are wlak in tent sites. You park, unlaod and then move your care.  The photos are of theses sites.  If you go and do not get a tent site, try to get a site along the river.

Sites are both drive in and some are walk in.  No RV hook ups but I see them there ( I am always with a tent) Coin showers are a plus.

The downside is you do hear the car noise from the road but there is little traffic at night.

You can launch a kayak or canoe onto the river from the campgrounds.

Rv park at the fairgrounds, walk to downtown Napa. Concrete pads, full hook ups. Basic but great!

We visited this park earlier this spring. Yes it was wet, but we didn't mind. Liked the spaces and layout so much...we are going back this fall. Plus we love that whole area.

However, DYRT got some info wrong. While there are plenty of full hookup spaces for RVs, there are no pull thru sites. Only back in for trailers and drive-in for coaches. Many tent camping spaces and RV spaces w/just water and power. The folks are friendly and helpful.

Very large, clean, well maintained campground. Sites range from tent camping to RV water and electric only to full hookups. It's centrally located halfway between Gurneville and Bodega Bay. Great place as a base for days at the beach, hiking at Armstrong Woods, or fishing.

We absolutely love thousand trails and our membership this is not one of their best campgrounds however the staff was five star and so is the location so I gave it a three star. We chose to stay three months. No sewer but they do have a dumping station and a honey pot service for $35 so we took advantage of that

We came in as a drop-in to this location ($66 for full hook ups) and it is absolutely magical! The staff is so friendly that the resort has an excellent community feel. There is a little walking path up the hill to "town" where there is a grocery store and coffee shop. This resort has its own private enclosed beach where dogs are allowed off leash! They have showers and bathrooms as well!

Good things to know before arrival: not all beach spots have full hook-ups, and only 1 has a sewer connection. It is very tight drive in, and they often have to turn large RVS/Trailers away. On the list, a majority of their spots can host 22ft-30ft trailers.

Great place to stay. The campground was clean and quiet. Full hook ups for RV sites. There were lots of animals! Be aware that you can’t use the lake because it’s for owners only.

For what this RV park is designed to be, it is done very well. It’s a parking lot with full hookups strategically located to public transit direct to San Francisco. It’s surprisingly quiet for being in a semi industrial area right next to the 101, but there is road noise of course. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

But I can’t give a parking lot 4 or 5 stars. That said it served our needs just fine and we’d stay there again, especially if we were visiting San Fran.

You are not roughing it here. Stayed many times over Covid and loved it. I have stayed in premium sites and in full hook up sites. Premiums are my favorites. They only have power and water but they are more isolated in the trees rather than a long row of RVs. All sites have cable TV and good Rudy from my experience. Fire puts when allowed by California. Russian River gets surprisingly warm during the summer.

My wife and I spent two days there, full hook-up with cable TV decent TV reception too. Cell worked well. Close to restaurants and grocery.

Nice spaces with privacy fences, picnic tables and full hook ups available. Clean and well maintained. Adjacent to the Sunday farmers market which is a nice treat.

If you wanna rv and craving crab,chowder, and oysters this is the spot for you, full hook up,fire pit , and picnic table walking distance to a restaurant and shops great views very relaxing...the down side is the price,wifi,and a little close to each other.....I would definitely come back if they bring the price down

This campground is on Russian river. They have full hook ups and a lot of very cool sites. They have an insane amount of kids activities! Face paining, s’mores campfire, hay ride, parks, kareoke- just to name a few! Easily one of our fav campgrounds!

Bodega Bay CA. On the water. Grounds well maintained. No toilet paper in men’s bathroom. First place in CA where no recycling offered. No signs to direct you to office. Full hook ups over $100. Dry sites for $65. We were not informed about dry sites. Place nearly empty.

This campground was a challenge to get to. Many windy roads (clearly not their fault). Some shady sites. Few full hook up available. Honey wagon available for non-sewer sites for $25. Clean bathrooms/showers. Dirt sites mostly level. The sites across the back of the campground are beautiful. Most have nice space between them. Great laundry room! I would book here again for a good long stay! Lots to do as it is near San Francisco, beaches, and Reyes Point. Nice “town” area too not far away.

Camp staff is awesome and helpful! Josh checked us in late and took care of everything even though the store was closed. Pool/jacuzzi both warm, on-site fishing pond, many sites with full hook ups. Beautiful views of wine country and plenty to do at the campsite. Off the beaten path so if you plan to visit cities or wineries you need a tow vehicle.

This is a private park with caring dedicated staff. Most of their sites have water and 30 amp power and there are a few sites with full hook ups. The park has a great vibe with many family sites, a cool little general store as well as public showers and restrooms. Even with all of the amenities, there are many sites which make you feel secluded in the redwoods.
