Tight Quarters on the Russian River

River Bend Resort has a great helpful staff, great Russian River wine country location and is next to the Russian River pub. And campground overall is average, so long as you’re on the outer rim. Interior RV sites seem to be full-time residents and very cramped. Tent sites near the river are unbelievably cramped. Bathrooms are well-maintained. General store is skimpy unless you’re looking for beverages or branded apparel. And the traffic noise is considerable.

Great river swimming for kids, but so expensive

The good: The private beach is great for kids (and adults). Easy swimming without a strong current. Lots of shallows but a deep swimming hole are for adults too. The camp store is cute and there’s a brewery next door if you want a meal out. There are several playgrounds which are fun for kids. And an arcade.

The bad: super expensive and the actual sites aren’t great. We camped in our van in the rv area and it’s really just a big parking lot right by the highway. I think the tent sites are a bit better.

Other info: there are cabins and camper vans to rent so could be a good place to go with friends or family who aren’t campers and want a nice river day but again it’s $$$.

Right next to highway!

Nice people run this very nice but pricey resort with 2 nite minimum! As the other reviewer mentioned it is next to the Russian River. Restaurant next door. What was not mentioned is that it is right next to the highway so we heard frequent traffic day & nite.

Chill along the river

This place has it all. Great restaurant just outside the property, well stocked general store, arcade, park, and oh yes beach front access where the river does a nice bend. There is every type of camp spot, river front RV, tent, back your overland rig and camp off your tailgate. They even have cabins and a whole home you can rent on the property. I was there on a weekday during the summer so it wasn’t too busy but on a weekend I think it gets full.
