ScoutIt’s great once you find the site that isn’t too narrow, steep or pavement broken. It’s like Cinderella’s slipper. We did find the perfect fit and enjoyed our stay. It’s quiet, wooded and has been pretty empty all week.
GuideI’m rating 5 stars as it fits the bill for RV Park Vs campground. Very spacious sites and very clean as it is only 3 years old. Easy to reserve, easy access, nice staff. Facilities are all clean and connections are layed-out properly. There are trees in the park which are still small but will eventually grow taller. Pull through Sites have concrete pad and fire ring. Fires were allowed and wood is available for $10 per bundle. There is a beautiful river walk trail that is wide and paved and will actually lead into downtown Fort Smith about 1 mile away. Massive shade tress along the river walk trail. Wildlife spotted along the river and occasional barge traffic on the river. Fort Smith has some unique history like the hanging judge Parker. Plenty of stores and restaurants in and around the town. Easy access to I-40. Had no problem driving travel trailer through city streets to get around. I plan to visit again and will make sure it’s in a cool season. We were here in October and it was quite warm.

GuideTightly packed parking pads for RVs, damaged/broken, hook ups, dirty campsites, not much shade, dilapidated shower house. Lots of road noise and bright lighting at night. I will admit that I am not a big fan of RV parks, but some are quite nice, this one is not.

ScoutCamped with tent. Just left at 2 am with black bear sniffing our heads. Scared away it but came back shortly after, maybe 5 minutes. Scary with young children. Probably our own fault since it's peak black bear season, just first time we've had one sniffing our heads.
